Millwall winger 19 years old also plays for England under 20s, exciting talent, my Millwall pals really rate him, apparently he's destined for the Premier league.

Freedman has been watching him, one to keep an eye on, at the moment for his own development he's best sticking to the championship, maybe a purchase in January and let him stay at Millwall on loan.

My Millwall mates like me are cynical football fans and rarely praise their own players. However they do rate him which does make this interesting.

Why? We didn't do that with Eze, Wharton or Olise (who he is hopefully destined to replace).

Eze on one wing Esse on the other. A combination destined to befuddle commentators.

All 3 of them were more advanced in there development and Eze and Olise played a lot more games, he hasn't even reached 50 games yet.

Still very raw, but the potential is huge, apparently has a release clause around £12-15 million, someone who would definitely excite, more Zaha than Olise.
 
We certainly could do with another player who produces that magic with the ball. Someone who gets the crowd off their feet, excites and frightens the opposing team to death! If this guy has the above qualities, then why not!

And also of Ivorian descent!

The club can decide if he's ready.
 
Forgot to mention in my post that my Millwall mates reckon his best position is 10. We seem to like signing players in that slot.
 
If there is a release clause of c.12m it feels like a reasonable gamble.

The only thing against this move is the other youngsters we have

Franca
JRS
Ebiowei

But, I don't think there is a chance in hell Ebiowei will make it at this level. Franca may be crocked, so not sure we can bank on his long term development, and JRS is starting to look promising, but 3 years older than Esse
