But no one even bothers with mass shootings that happen every weekend in certain American cities and elsewhere.

Some of them are even recorded on cctv cameras......and no one bats an eye.

It’s a one off in this country *precisely* because they massively tightened up the gun laws in this country in the aftermath and said never again.

I’m not sure what your point is here? No one bats an eyelid in America because they all have guns so they’re more commonplace? Is that what you would rather here?

No, not 'precisely because' as gun massacres were few and far between before then as well.
