I think we have culture and a system that is so afraid of the far right that only a wooden horse approach will allow even a party as moderately 'far right' as Reform to govern. Once the spell has been broken, we can then think about more far reaching policies.
Trying to knock down the gates with a bettering ram just isn't going to work in a country with so much post WW2 paranoia.
I will vote Reform as the entry level option. If they are Thatcher 2.0 then that is better than the current Conservatives and magnitudes better than the dopey Left.
If they don't pave the way for a radical change of direction then they will be the very best chance to get what you and I want next time. The other option has no chance.
Reform just want power, I've seen this a million times. You think they are genuine whereas I see careerists....just looking at who is joining them tells me that. It very much is 'the same again'.
I get what you are saying.....You are all about avoiding the left.
But if you have read my posts over the years and that of Matov, you understand that we don't see Britain lasting economically. It's much more than elections.
Restore for me are about links and bonds with people who will need each other once the sh1t hits the fan. That's how I see it. Restore is more about that than purely winning elections....If that doesn't happen it doesn't change the dynamic.....Farage and Lowe are only here for what?.....A decade.
I've already said that politically when 2029 comes or when an election happens, I will vote practically.
Up until then I know that without Restore that Farage wants to push left and we saw that before Lowe started his party.
I don't trust Farage....As silver implied, once the bankers and city talk to him all the tough stuff on immigration goes out the window.
Same sauce, same salad.
If you want real change.....regardless of whether it's left or on the right.....You need an idealog.
