Reform

As I previously said, Reform will get votes from non whites so a bit of caution would be in order.

The fact that the media and opposition jump on it just means it true. We all know it.

Maybe those few hundred votes will make a difference.

I jest.....a bit.

People on the right who are anglophiles and not white do exist and we stand in the trenches together.

But the vast majority will be against us because that's how people who view themselves as minorities tend to think.....indeed, are raised to think.

You don't think Hindus might be fearful of more Pakistanis etc arriving? White people aren't really their problem.

Most Hindus will want more Hindus in the country. They will see the issue of other groups as gradually dominating different areas while they will flock to their own......the basic sectarian pattern that happens with high immigration.

Voting patterns show that the majority of them don't care enough to vote for an anti immigration party.

Human nature.

AI says a recent poll showed a jump in support for Reform among British Indians from 4% to 13%.
The rate of increase is higher than the national average, pointing to growing momentum.

So not insignificant.

Farage knows that he won't just be the Prime Minister of White British people. He has to get other ethnicities on board for the common cause. That cause might involve deporting the scum.

You can believe all that stuff if you want.

But I gave up on civic nationalism in my early forties....It leads to the same result but just a little slower.

Reform are civic nationalists anyway so you'll be pleased with them.

Me, I'm looking beyond Reform....but I certainly hope they get in, as it's far better than what we have.

Cynic!
🙂

Seriously, everyone is in it for themselves, but shared interests do still exist.

That doesn't mean we all want to swap spit.

It really is a question of baby steps.

Many could not have imagined a party like Reform being a serious contender a few decades back.

They are a product of the increasingly enlightened populace about their future without drastic change.

I will celebrate wildly if then are elected, but then expect proper right wing policies that serve the people.

British people.

Reform’s economics are a reckless mix of fantasy, nostalgia and resentment. Those tempted to follow would do well to look past the slogans and remember what real leadership, the kind that endures beyond the headlines, truly looks like.

Maybe, maybe not.

At least they aren't of betrayal.

The Labour Party and prior the tories have shown even with eons of experience at the helm they still live in a fantasy world.
Can a new inexperienced party really be much worse !

Liz Truss?

This is about public perception. The Tories will do well to come third.
The only thing that the electorate need to do is punish betrayal and failure.

That means voting Reform.

I for one would never be tempted by a movement that raises council tax, scraps welfare caps, tears down infrastructure, and spooks the markets.

Reform likes to present itself as the true guardian of right-of-centre politics, the party that believes in fiscal discipline, smaller government, and lower taxes. But scratch beneath the slogans and a very different picture emerges. It is one of economic confusion, populism, and ideological incoherence.

Council tax went up under both Labour and Tory.

You have no idea what Reform will do. Manifestos are not worth the paper they are written on.
Electioneering in opposition involves hollow promises and mud slinging.

What matters is remembering who let you down previously and punishing them. That is the only way democracy works in any meaningful sense.

Time for Reform.

The Kent County council leader mentioned that they were a test bed for Reform's national policies adding that they were a 'Shop window' through which the electorate would see what a Reform government would look like.
Despite having campaigned on a platform of lower taxation, the local authority is now preparing to raise council tax by 5%.
Seven other Reform-run local authorities are reportedly joining Kent.Durham, Warwickshire, West Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Worcestershire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Lancashire, and Lincolnshire are all planning to raise taxes.
This reversal exposes the emptiness of Reform’s rhetoric ,making promises that they swiftly abandon when the going gets tough.

Reform's plan to scrap the two-child benefit cap throws personal responsibility out of the window. A policy designed to promote fairness and fiscal realism is being abandoned in favour of open-ended welfare spending.

It also encourages people to have more children. A priority for Europeans I'd say.

Standard behaviour. All parties promise more than they ultimately deliver.

The Tories had 14 years to reduce immigration. It increased massively.

If this rise is spent sensibly on things other than welfare and waste then many residents won’t mind. The budget will certainly show how to waste money once we’ve all been rinsed.

I accept some Governments in the past have announced sound policies which they ultimately find challenging to deliver for a plethora of reasons.
What Reform have announced have had me shaking my head. Farage might have picked up the megaphone but the sound emitted is total and utter hogwash.

Enough on Reform, it is high time I turn my attention to football on the television !
