Reform

I gave up doing photo and GIF responses. It's a bit passé. A bit like trying to defend this government.

I realised a long time ago that your kind aren't interested in reality. You'd rather see the country burn than concede that you were wrong.

The same with your new chuckle brother HOL friend.

Any semblance of independent thought gone, just endlessly tow the line. Any criticism or scrutiny is an ‘attack’ by ‘enemies’.

Congrats on your cult.
It really doesn't fool anyone to talk about cults. Unless you think that wanting to save this country from oblivion is a cult.

As for independent thought... I'd just settle for some original thought as far as you are concerned. You seem stuck in a rut of tired clichés.

The economy and world banking system is a giant Ponzi scheme, crypto is no different and just part of the same house of cards. You are very naive if you think otherwise.
Untrue. The world banking system has real assets behind it. Those of every country who participates. Crypto has none. It relies only on the idea that someone else values it more than you. It’s a bigger fool business. Eventually you run out of fools. Serious investors in businesses that produce wealth and grow don’t touch crypto.

Union funding in exchange for Union demands = fine
Private funding for "a level playing field" = CRIME!!!

You realise that if they get their way and Reform get in Labour can kiss goodbye to Union funding
Of course they won’t. That funding is written into Union constitutions in ways which specify that it’s lots of individual contributions. Which can be opted out of if wished. You cannot stop individuals contributing without denying yourself funds.

Harborne has a reported net worth of £18bn which seems quite serious.

A gentleman named Hrofl. Which must stand for Homesdale Rolling On Floor Laughing.
People who designed glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

And a 'like' from Wisbech is always confirmation that he considers you a fellow fruitcake.

Yep, Bullseye!

I work in photography and was encouraged to create some 'Unique NFT's' of my work a few years back. To be frank my level of investment to do so would have been virtually nothing apart from save a few low-res versions of my work and apparently ascribe a blockchain token ID to the crappy jpegs. It did not mean a buyer owned the original limited edition photos as far as I was advised - just a blockchain version?? I could not get my head around that. So, I looked into a few of the NFT market platforms which were full of absolute shithouse graphic doodles which were seemingly a bunch of recycled ClipArt or lesser drek - I could see no value and no worth. Not even in IP.

I gave it a swerve, even though I was told it was easy money. A colleague with an international prominence went ahead with it and spent time creating limited edition works which I see on the NFT platforms last year, unsold and with asking prices of around £3- £4. Lesson learned: NFT's were the Emperor's New Clothes! Extrapolating that realisation to Crypto-coins was not a difficult leap. Anyone hear of the NFT market rallying in the last 5 years? No, because it's dead as a Dodo.

Fundamental question for me is actually on the super-secure cryptography which encodes these ethereal crypto-coins. With advances in AI and quantum processing, what happens when gangs of hackers can crack and steal vast numbers of coins or even just vapourise them? They are not going to come round and steal my house brick by brick, so my lender is pretty happy that there is some real value in my asset portfolio.

Can't say I'm sorry to be such a pane to you.

Talk of fruitcakes, can I be a Dundee cake? My Scottish granny would be so proud. Thanks awfully Mr Hollywood!👍
I see you more as a spotted dick. You can always spot them.

I'm partly Scottish, and Irish too. Not that you'd notice.

Meanwhile, the nerve of Labour or any other party criticising Reform for donations is ridiculous. The favours and honours for donations has been a staple of British politics forever. We have two successful British businessmen donating to the cause and suddenly that is a problem. You guys.

The smell of desperation is in the air. 🤣

And there's you feeding yourself up on carrots (in a big cake) for an after-dark sojourn on Hampstead Heath. "You can always spot them" dicks or rumps, through the gloom if you keep up the Vitamin A. Keep telling yourself.

Anyway, back to Reform. Anyone want to start a sweepstake on when and where the first police tent goes up outside one of Nigel's many houses?

Not only are you extremely naive, but also misinformed. As the saying goes, there's no fool like an old fool.

How though is that calculated? If it’s in real money made by skimming the top off the “investments” of fools then he has done what those who market Ponzi schemes always do. Profit from fools. If it is wholly or even partly in crypto itself then he too is one of the fools unless he converts it, in time, to real assets. Which is pretty obviously why he desires political influence. Only fools believe otherwise.

That makes him either a crook or a fool except not many fools accumulate that much and he hasn't done anything illegal.

It’s you who is naive. The world banking system has real assets behind it. They might no longer be physical reserves of gold or silver, but debt, reputation and, most importantly, economic activity are all real assets, which actually exist and won’t just disappear in a crash. Completely unlike crypto which depends entirely on belief.
