Rachel Reeves

Before we get a load more rubbish over who runs the country ,it is the electorate not a straw poll of tory malcontents who believe every word made up by the Daily Mail. The ONLY poll that counts is the General Election. Another factor is that forecasts by their very nature go wrong, I have a friend who is an Actuary and she freely admits to working out her projections and then working out her excuses as to why they go awry.
Even the BBC are starting to call them out now - so things must be going very wrong indeed!

I have stated the facts.

In any event I would appreciate if the debate is not used to deflect attention away from Rachel Reeves.
O.k. Then, Rachel Reeves did a wonderful job for children like the ones Boris Johnson walked out on when he left his wife for a younger woman.Boris Johnson has four children with his ex-wife Marina Wheeler, one daughter from an extramarital affair, and four children with his current wife Carrie Johnson: Years ago he would have been horsewhipped.

Is there a reason anybody is supposed to care now?

The private life of Boris Johnson bears no connection to the dire performance of Rachel Reeves as Chancellor.
Deflection yet again.Thank you.

I personally have a moral compass and think kids are innocent and deserve a dad not desertion just 'cos Dad is running around with a hard on, I think a lot of Tories would agree as it in many cases costs the state who pick up the slack.

Sounds like Croydon or Birmingham. We know Boris just deserts his children and has little to do with them? You've looked that up? His kids are what, mixed up in gangs and dealing eighths on street corners? Or worse?
And somehow that's something to do with this budget? I guess he gets more child benefit.

Boris was a largely ineffective buffoon that won a landslide majority when elected.

Starmer is further proof that when the Opposition is so poor even the likes of him and BoJo can win through.

All this is of course further deflecting, on your part, from Reeves.

But for the record, I don't think any of Boris's kids are going to be relying on the State for support.

Here's a snapshot of what his 4 adult kids are up to ;

She now works as a journalist, writer, editor and broadcaster and lives in London.
Lara, 29, uses the double-barrelled surname Johnson-Wheeler, with the second being her mum's surname. She went to the £33,000-a-year Bedales school before earning a place at St Andrews University where she studied Latin.

Milo, 29, is Boris and Marina's oldest son and is a keen sportsman. He went to Westminster School, which costs about £27,000 a year. He studied at London's School of Oriental and African Studies and can speak Arabic, Russian and French.

Cassia Peaches is 27 years old and studied at Highgate School, which costs about £18,000 a year. Like her dad and older sister, she is a writer

Theo is Boris and Marina's youngest child, now 25, and goes by both of his parents' surnames. He went to Cambridge University

The children were a lot younger when Boris left Marina , I did not think he harmed their career prospects just his love. I have no intention of deflecting away from Rachel Reeves just I have a view that balance should be maintained.

Two pieces of economic information have been revealed by the O.N.S. over the last two days ,yesterday a very high unemployment rate of 5.2% skewed against young people, today the revelation was the latest inflation figure of 3% down from 3.4% last month both items will push the B of E to cut rates in March possibly by a half per cent probably by a quarter, the Stock Market is hitting new high daily the market is a barometer of the worlds confidence in Britain it is now 10,655 points up by 98 points, Rachel Reeves plans are clearly working unlike the cheap scribes that abound on here the market put their money were there mouth is. Well done Rachel.:england::england:👍

Lies, damn lies and statistics.

The reality out there is very different - I work in accountancy and things are slowing. The hiring is slowing massively and AI is taking over jobs.

There is a massive bump in the road coming and it isn't going to be pretty.

The stock Market has increased by 30% since the Tories departed office, Please point out anything Factually wrong, if you can which i strongly doubt.

The stock market has gone up as investors see stocks as safer - mainly due to how poor bonds (government borrowing) are and how little other assets can be relied on. If anything the stock markets point to poor economic outcomes for nation states. Investors see decent companies as better alternatives than government cash - to put it simply.

So let's take the case of Currys who claimed that the National Insurance increase would scupper their business, they reported an increase in profits of 140% so they lied.

You want me to look into each individual company? Rachel Reeves has added costs to business. Ask any business owner. There are some on here.
I suspect Currys restructured to make that kind of profit. But I'm not going to be going through their accounts and reports.
