Parish Out

Steve Parish is 61. At this age the body goes through another phase of change, and so do priorities.
Is Steve Parish still the hungry go get 'em entrepreneur from the 2010 rescue or has he started to think about retirement? I 'm sure he would like to see his pet project, the upgrade of the stadium, completed in good time so he can step back and say "my work here is done". At some point he will hand over the reins.

I Steve P's balance sheet is overwhelmingly positive. OK sometimes he gets lucky, but to keep a club of our size in this hard division for 14 years is no mean feat. And to employ people all over the club to deliver trophies on top of that, you know, you have to give him a lot of credit for that. Granted that does sound like something he would say, but im not him.

He definitely has his work cut out this season though. For the Europa League under not inconsiderable financial constrains, Hobbs has delivered a big squad yes, but it is devoid of leaders and quality defenders. He might end up having to sack his new creative type manager like so many times before, and replace him with a Pulis/Allardyce/Hodgson/Dyche type to try and dig us out of the mire defensively to protect his employers investment.
