Palace vs Millwall

Not sure. We will not have Hughes - as he has collected five yellow cards? Scope for display of more players. Start Mateta to play using ninety minutes energy in sixty and give Nketiah thirty minutes - scoring again from the bench will increase his confidence.

All depends on how the first half goes. OG is committed (thankfully) to obtaining silverware and I trust his skills.

Possible variations
- injured players
- red cards
- level
- 0-1
- 1-0 - stay cautious
- 2-0 or 3-0 put on two or three at 50 minutes
- 4-0 or more showcase the squad.

We have got Hughes as the 2 match ban does not affect the FA Cup, btw, it's 10 yellows.

Didn’t think I’d be describing playing Millwall as a massive game but it is.

The way the PL is going, with the promoted teams really struggling every season now, and our safety effectively ensured before the end of February, but Europe probably out of reach, given we are around seven points adrift and still have to play the top five teams, the cups are everything.

This is where I think we do best. We are a top countering team with great set pieces.

It is playing middling teams like us where I fear the worst. Which is why the last two results were particularly satisfying.

just my opinion, but with the position we're in, and the players' availability; surely we can rest a couple of key players and still beat Millwall. Players like Guehi and Munoz can do with a break (I think). Munoz ran himself to the ground against Villa the other night. Devenny and Esse must be keen to get a run (surely!!). Like I said "just my opinion".

Looks like he will be involved in the match day squad . . .
