How many times has this been posted?Article 5 Integrity of the competition/multi-club ownership
5.01
To ensure the integrity of the UEFA club competitions (i.e. UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League), the club must be able to prove that as at 1 March 2025 the below multi-club ownership criteria were met and the club must continue to comply with the below criteria from that date until the end of the competition season:
5.02
- No club participating in a UEFA club competition may, either directly or indirectly:
- hold or deal in the securities or shares of any other club participating in a UEFA club competition;
- be a member of any other club participating in a UEFA club competition;
- be involved in any capacity whatsoever in the management, administration and/or sporting performance of any other club participating in a UEFA club competition; or
- have any power whatsoever in the management, administration and/or sporting performance of any other club participating in a UEFA club competition.
- No one may simultaneously be involved, either directly or indirectly, in any capacity whatsoever in the management, administration and/or sporting performance of more than one club participating in a UEFA club competition.
- No individual or legal entity may have control or influence over more than one club participating in a UEFA club competition, such control or influence being defined in this context as:
- holding a majority of the shareholders’ voting rights;
- having the right to appoint or remove a majority of the members of the administrative, management or supervisory body of the club;
- being a shareholder and alone controlling a majority of the shareholders’ voting rights pursuant to an agreement entered into with other shareholders of the club; or
- being able to exercise by any means a decisive influence in the decision-making of the club.
If two or more clubs fail to meet the criteria aimed at ensuring the integrity of the competition, only one of them may be admitted to a UEFA club competition, in accordance with the following criteria (applicable in descending order) with the exception of the scenarios set out in Paragraph 5.04 and Paragraph 5.05:
5.03
- the club which qualifies on sporting merit for the most prestigious UEFA club competition (i.e., in descending order: UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League or UEFA Conference League);
- the club which was ranked highest in its domestic championship;
- the club whose association is ranked highest in the access list (see Annex A).
Clubs that are not admitted are replaced in accordance with Paragraph 4.10.
5.04
Exceptionally, provided that the relevant principles of Paragraph 5.01 are respected throughout, a club that was not admitted in application of Paragraph 5.02, and which is replaced in the competition in application of Paragraph 4.10, may still be admitted to another UEFA club competition (i.e. in descending order: UEFA Europa League or UEFA Conference League) to which the relevant national association has access, respecting the scenarios foreseen by Paragraph 5.05. The access of the respective association is adjusted accordingly.
5.05
This article is not applicable if any of the cases listed under Paragraph 5.01 happens between:
- a club qualifying (in accordance with Article 3) for the UEFA Champions League and entering the league phase directly and a club qualifying for the UEFA Europa League or UEFA Conference League (see Annex A);
- a club qualifying (in accordance with Article 3) for the UEFA Champions League and entering the playoffs (champions path or league path) or the third qualifying round of the league path directly or for the UEFA Europa League and entering the league phase directly and a club qualifying for the UEFA Conference League (see Annex A).
So will you be available for the bench at start of season?I could give a brief update on my ankle. Learning to walk again, getting better but still quite slow. My muscles in my leg are quite weak though. Fortunately I have my first physio session tomorrow.
Are we in Europe yet?
A little bit in the corner mate.Been decorating all day and wasn't sure what I had missed.
I'd see it as good news that they have dragged their feet in a decision. My thinking is this, A few people on here have played Devil's advocate and stated UEFA have dug their heels in because as of March 1st Textor had interests in both Palace and Lyon and that no matter what Textor did after that could be irrelevant in their eyes because to them he didn't put his shares in a blind trust therefore he broke the rules.
Now, I'm not going to go over and over the reasons why that happened and the reasons why thats unfair, that Textor doesn't have significant influence, yada, yada, yada. Its been done to death. But.... what I will say is if that is truly the reason UEFA have so far blocked Palace from competing in the Europa League then surely (regardless of whether we agree/if they are right or wrong) they would have said by now you broke our rules, thats the end of it. See us in court if you disagree.
But they haven't. They've even said they need more time to consider after Lyon's outcome. This strongly indicates they are more concerned with whether Textor is indeed in control of both clubs. This is of
It’s interesting that a UEFA panel member collard Textor during the lunch break and tried to get him to admit (all casual like) that he did have a decisive influence in bringing OG to Palace. In other words, they were looking for a narrative that fits their predetermined outcome; and when they couldn’t find it they effectively decided to ban us, anyway.course good news for us because he never had significant influence at Palace and since we won the cup the little influence he did have has been diluted to a selling shareholder, soon to be a non shareholder that has resigned from both boards.
Basically, if UEFA are looking at the here and now instead of where we were at on March 1st our case just gets stronger by the day.
Add that to the very real threat of an appeal and CAS dealing with it and I'm still optimistic (ish)
just so people can read and not understand a single word like all of us , Brumley monkey sleeping will wake up screaming lolHow many times has this been posted?
