Palace fans causing disorder

You do realise this happened in France and therefore I contend that normal rules do not apply . I understand that around 50 people were ejected ( estimated by someone I was with ) so some action was taken at the time ( halftime )

You come across as a little naive - the Addo lot don’t stop at just verbal abuse. Fail to stand up to them and it won’t end well. It doesn’t stop at name calling.

Read my post again - I said I know whose version of events I believe while I also said I don’t condone violence.

Well done for reporting the anti semitic flags - as I posted earlier, Politics in football has no rights or wrongs - just all wrongs.
That's fair enough. I get what are saying. I do understand it was abroad. Which concerns me more you don't know what you get with foreign police.

I'm still of the opinion it could have been defused. The HFs could have walked away to a different pub / bar and our fan base would not be in the news.

In the Real World it doesn't work like that.

If you have a group of thugs in your face racially abusing you, how do you think reporting it to the club is going to stop it there and then ? And those French police looked like they were ready for trouble, I doubt very much if they would have sorted it out peaceably. I'm not condoning the violence, but your suggested solutions aren't going to fly I'm afraid.

I don't agree with everything HF, but I know whose version of events I believe in this case.

It has nothing to do with racism, they've both fought with each other numerous times over the years and if the Addo group are far right racists running around attacking ethnic minorities, i doubt the HF will be top of their list, they've only got that one young black lad with them.

The violence my son and my mate witnessed was in the stadium. Nowhere to go in that instance.

It's a shame because the people of Strasbourg were very welcoming.

Go back and read any thread about fighting among our own fans on this site. It's always HF vs Addo.
It has nothing to do with left/right wing politics, just the same as any other fight at football throughout the country or even your average Saturday night.
Im gonna take a wild guess and go alcohol and cocaine.
Yes I will use my spare time to scour the archives and read fill my head with tales about Muppets A vs Muppets B

I'm sorry you had to witness that. And I am worried about the same next week in Dublin.
I would advise to report to the club what you seen in the stadium. They will take the correct action.

I'm aware of that. I'm also aware of what the Addo lot are like.

When my son asked a HF , a black guy, what had triggered the fight at Strasbourg he was told it was due to racial abuse.

Ultimately, we don't want this behaviour from any group of Palace fans.

Thanks, but I didn't see anything myself.

Dublin is a concern. I don't think the locals will welcome that behaviour on their patch.

One of my mates is working out there, will be meeting up for the Palace game.
He says it’s full of foreigners.
So there might not be many ‘locals’.

Firstly reporting the abuse after the game (or during, via stewards) is how it’s supposed to work in football and that is why clubs have zero tolerance policies and the police have dedicated football units.

Secondly walking up and punching someone because they called you a name is still assault.
If the police are going heavy handed that is a separate issue. It doesn’t give anyone a free pass to throw a punch.

And lastly believing one side does not change the fact that violence wasn’t the only option or the right one.

I would still be saying the same if it was the other way round. And I stand by what I said both sides should be reported and banned. An investigation by the club should take place.

When the HF had their anti semitic flags out on the anniversary of the horrific attack on 7th October
I didn't walk up to them and abuse or fight them. I simply reported it to the club who have since taken action.
Where did this occur? We didn't have a game on the 7th October?

I would have reported the alleged racism to the club or the police or both.

Violence is not the answer. And alleged racism should not be used as an excuse for violence.
There was no racism, that's the point. Is it not very convenient that this all comes out from the hf a day after they smash a pub up with families in close proximity. A very clear smoke screen to try and deflect away from the main issue. Iv seen people of colour with the so called addo and am pretty sure, if they were really racist they would not be with them. A very good attempt by the hf to try to take themselves out of the fire they started. Weve smashed up a pub, attacked a handful of guys mob handed and frightened the life out of other fans, let's play the race card and try to save face...

How does that explain the fight in the stadium ?

We got in the ground early in Strasbourg , 5 of us.
There was a tiny bar and a big one.
Loads of the HF came walking in, all in black.
Walked over to the bar we was at , me and my pal was telling them that the bar we was at was alcohol free. Sent them to the small bar. They was in 2 queues 40 deep🤣
Me and my mate plotted at the empty bar. 🤪

How does that explain the fight in the stadium ?
Pretty simple, 30 odd fellas in balaclavas attack a handful of guys for the 2nd time in 1 night. Im not sherlock Holmes but it dont seem the hardest case to suss..

Fellas in all black and balaclavas they have pre taken to france attack a pub with a few guys they obviously don't like I ln it

They see the same guys in tbe ground at half time and again with balaclavas on, try to attack the small handful from earlier

Realise most normal palace fans have had enough of them as they are constant bullies and now turning violent

The main fella leading the attack on the pub (sai) heard his mates call him it loads. Realises they have been rumbled for the attacks and pulls the race card to try and save his and his mates backsides because he is Asian

The final straw for me is...... why have they all travelled to france on a coach with all balaclavas? Premeditated attack on this handful of fellas they obviously dont like is the only reason I can think of. They had obviously pre planned to cause havoc with either the small amount of other guys or locals. No other explanation as not one other person was wearing a balaclava that I see out there...
