Palace Fans Against Racism

Calling out racism is racist?? Have I missed something..
On the BBS the stop the boats was commented on months ago. At the time I said I am against politics in football so I do have a problem with a group of fans showing an obviously political slogan at one of our games.

But I am also against fans showing support for BLM, Palestine, Ukraine, Nigel Farage messages etc.

Of course many of the BBS showed their true colours by saying that it's okay to display anti racism messages at the game as it is not political. It's not:

Football has a sanctioned Anti Racism body Kick it Out I have no problem with this. If any fan see racist behaviour they should report it to the club and the police and let them deal with it.

The problem with fan organised anti racism messages is that one man's racism is another man's legitimate political concerns. In other words , politics.

If you want to be a campaigner there are plenty of marches to go on. Support Kick It Out by all means but keep your bloody TIFO's to yourselves.

Yes you have.

My understanding of rascism is that the person feels his race is superior to another's.

White liberals in particular are very rascist. They feel the need to defend black and brown people because they do not believe they can do it themselves.

They feel they are inferior.

As Malcolm X once said ' beware the white liberal

Also as an edit.

Eastern boy who is behind the campaign used the chanting of Tommy Robinson as proof of rascism.

An absolutely disgusting and
Unfounded comment.

Robinson is in fact the real anti rascist activist.

He was fundamental along with Nick Griffin in exposing the mass rape of young white girls by Pakistani men.

But Dear Eastern boy; if you think that's not as bad as stickers and rhyming slang?

Not really , Robinson just jumped on the bandwagon and his actions of filming those being tried in court almost led to the case collapsing .So much so he was given a 9 month prison sentence for contempt of court .
Those credited with exposing the rape gangs were various Times reporters and former MP Ann Cryer.

I'm aware of the labour mp . Also Nick Griffin was on to it before Robinson.

But I was making a point defending Robinson from the accusation of rascism.

True he may not have been the first to bring it to people's attention; but through his popularity he certainly brought more awareness and pressured the government to do something.

Again I disagree ,his self imposed involvement in most things has been a hindrance more than a help .He is a bit Marmite even among the right wing where many would not want to be associated with him and his thuggish past . His popularity is questionable and no he hasn't pressured the government into anything ,that pressure has come from advocacy groups , survivors and whistleblowers .More recently from Conservative and Reform MP's .
There is no evidence that Robinson is a racist

I think the crowds he got for his recent london march/rally, suggests he is quite popular.

It's difficult to for me to substantiate how much of an affect Robinson has had. I will concede that.

It's also possible some whistleblowers came forward because it was being highlighted by Robinson.

But I find it hard to belive that someone with Robinsons popularity and following could not have had a positive affect in putting pressure on authorities to do something.

I don't particularly like his promotion of Isreal myself and I'm no fan boy of his. However I do think his character is certainly missing in men these days and that's a bad thing in my opinion.

You obviously don't like him. Fair enough.

The main point I was making earlier on, was the fact eastern boy called him rascist; when he quite clearly isn't. I see you agree with that.

I like your profile pic by the way

You mean the same people they had been ignoring for decades?

The idea that they didn't know it was going on is just false.....they clearly knew decades before the Times exposed it and the evidence is there from Lowe's inquiry and before that.

Far more noise was being made by Robinson and the BNP before him, because they were actually organised......what advocacy groups were talking about the grooming gangs? It was the survivors and whistleblowers who went to the far right and told them, because the state just ignored the issue due to racism and 'community cohesion'.....The Labour councils and left wing social care institutions didn't want to know and were ignoring it in the first place...and if it happened in Tory councils I want them prosecuted as well.

It was all deliberately ignored and it was mainly the far right talking about it......The fact that nothing was done about it until the Times (who themselves admitted to knowing but ignoring it for years) did a piece on it belies the horrendous elitist malpractice of our leaders, because these were (not exclusively) underclass white girls who they considered less than.

The same people who waffle on about 'safeguarding' did nothing for these girls, whereas in generations past who they consider racist and who never said terms like 'safeguarding' wouldn't have let anything like this happen.

Also, if Musk hadn't made such a stink about it on X we wouldn't even have had an inquiry, which labour tried to avoid for years (and isn't honesty viable under them). It's so clear that they are trying to take down X exactly because it exposes their political underbelly and they want to restrict media to controllable outlets.

Robinson isn't ideal.

A bit of a thug sure.....a bit too obsessed with Israel....yeah (but he needs funders and a getaway I suppose)....also lots has been said about the white powder.

But you don't get to choose your leaders when the going gets tough....it's about who is willing to stand up......Most people would have ran away due to the absolute horrors he's had thrown at him by our state and assorted enemies, death threats, jail (with a law change to make it happen), physical attacks....He is an enemy of the state....A state that isn't fit for purpose.....and a lot of it happened under the Tories.

He's a civic nationalist and that's too liberal for me.....but the lying media present him as far right.....the only thing that's 'far right' about him is his anti Islamic worldview.

“Oh boy” eastern boy what have you started, what with all these well thought out and presented grown up arguments, opinions and comments on the topic “ Palace Fans Against Racism “

I’ll guess I’ll have to go back to “ click bait” catching up on all things palace.
Up the Palace.

Exactly what has he said that’s racist? What upsets the left is that he’s telling the truth albeit not about the multicultural dreamworld they pretend to live in.

If Palace is ever accoiated with Rangers or Celtic or any other clubs like that then thats the day I bow out. I followed Palace from over here in Derry well over 20ty years. Fck off back to wherever yous came from cause you certainly weren't there for Steve Kembers testimonial and all things before this stint in the prem. Always found yous lovely people but I can't tolerate seeing palace and Rangers on the same flag. That goes for Celtic too.

One of my favourite pub moments.

In our local we had 2 Scots one Celtic one Rangers always snapping and snarling at each other. It was comical and we used to tell them to get a room.

Anyway one day another bloke comes in in a Rangers shirt and starts giving it large about the Catholics. It was nasty stuff, nasty football songs. Well before the Celtic fan could do anything his Rangers foe picked the guy up by the scruff of his neck and told him to take his bigotry back to Glasgow, exit one bashed up Rangers fan, bashed up by another Rangers fan.

He then turned on his Celtic foe and snarling and told him to shut the f*** up (normal relations resumed). later when the two didn't realise we were watching they were happily chatting away.

Dogburger mentioned his :thuggish past,"

Everyone's had a past though. We can't judge people too much,. I've has plenty of moments that I look back on with a little shame.

All I know is, like that Millwall fan at London bridge; if it kicks off, you want guys like him and Tommy on your side.

The Millwall hero was labeled racist too.

It's a mad world

You mean Londonderry? 😉

On an unrelated subject. I see derry are 3-2 down in their eufa qualifying round. Hopefully they turn it around. Would nice to draw them away from home!

'stop the boats' is not a racist slogan.
Context matters. Maybe a politician might have a genuine reason to say it. What is the purpose of a stop the boats flag at a football match? Obviously to stir division and hate.

Years ago when I went to work in Edinburgh for a year I met two colleagues working beside me. One was Hearts and one Hibs. I was asked who I supported and when I told them Palace one asked me “is that Palace Celtic or Palace Rangers”?
