Back in the day, I went there with my Dad as we couldn't afford Palace. Plus our barber played for them

Yes I’ve been going to Bromley since the 70’s, don’t go as much now as I don’t live in the town anymore and I preferred it when they were a pokey little non-league club, I’ve lost a bit of interest since they’ve got into the football league.
It seemed acceptable to have a favourite non-league club as well as going to palace, but now it’s too expensive, too crowded(I liked it when there was 300 people there) and it’s a bit of a schlep for me now.
But having said that, I went a couple of times last season for old times sake and watched a few of their games on Sky plus

I was about 10 and the dad often asked the men "Need anything for the week-end , Sir" I had no idea what he was talking about

Danny played a few games for a team called Bromford at the park next to my junior school Marian Vian. Good times !

We once picked him up for a palace game back in the 2000’s sometime. He was standing at a bus stop in Pratts Bottom as we went through. It was like giving Elvis or Muhammad Ali a lift 😎🤣

Sounds like you were in the years below me.
I was there from 1957 to 1963.
I remember all of those teachers and was in the junior school football team under Mr Perkiss.
I used to live off Upper Elmers End Road.
The park you referred to was I think The Bricky.
