Palace & Bromley

Can you pay on the gate at Bromley? Being a season ticket holder and not having to do that these days, if I wanted to go to Bromley on the day is it possible to get in as an oap by just using my bank card? I guess they have a booking office but I was wondering if it’s easy just to turn up and pay?

I don’t think you can pay on the day.

The capacity is restricted at the moment as they are building a new stand.

I always book online - OAP price is £19

Must have been 1958-1964.
Mr Perkiss, Miss Read & Mrs Bailey.
I lived in St Margaret's Road by Elmers End station, now Tesco's
Sounds like there were a lot of us there at around the same time. I also remember Mrs Wooley, Miss Richardson and Miss Miller as well. Miss Langridge was the cool one who drove to school on a Lambretta. There was another male teacher who used to kick a soccer or rugby ball over the school roof and some old woman who had a whip to chastise kids at the back of the class
Mrs Bailey was a right tartar. I remember shocking the class by shouting "Why don't you just shut up, Bailey!". Tame stuff by today's standards but inevitably ended up with corporal punishment from the head

I remember it well. I was there from 1955 before attending Hawes Down in West Wickham.
Lived on the corner of Goddard Road and Upper Elmers End Road. Stanhope Grove was my preferred place to play football.
Been following Palace since 1959 and even acted as a Steward in the 90’s.
Yes I also went on to attend Hawes Down Secondary School.
I left at Easter 1967.
From memory only two of us left that Easter.
Stanhope Grove was where Beckenham Town used to play.

No, it’s all on line digital tickets same as palace. They’ve only got three sides of the ground open as well at the moment, so even doing that you’ll have to get in early
