Now Marc has gone, have we got a chance to sign this guy? I'd love us to go all out for this exciting lad...

I doubt we can afford him. Transfermarkt have him valued at 45m euros and our bid of around that figure previously was rejected by Sporting (they wanted about 70m as I recall. Since then we've spent £35m on Johnson so the £20m for Guehi won't be enough. Now Marc has gone, have we got a chance to sign this guy? I'd love us to go all out for this exciting lad...

If they signed him and then loaned him to us, we'd get fined for some kind of underhanded transfer deal.Man City will probably buy him as back up to their other dozen central defenders.

In the current state of flux there is little chance i fear. Now Marc has gone, have we got a chance to sign this guy? I'd love us to go all out for this exciting lad...

And they'd be right. Exactly the sort of Sylvester Sneekly tactic we would try.If they signed him and then loaned him to us, we'd get fined for some kind of underhanded transfer deal.

Does anyone know the rules on foreign players and the number we are allowed, we sold Eze and brought in Pino and now Guehi is gone, can we still go buy another non domestic player?

how great would it have been to sneak in and offer him more and a chance to play in Europe just to f*** the Fat c*** over. Shame.Just signed for some two bit Championship outfit by all accounts.
£34M so considerably less than we were said to have offered last year. A relegation threatened team with no European football either so I wonder if wages have played a part? 🤪
We probably lost so much on the Johnson deal with Everton, that we could not afford Diomande at that level of fee.how great would it have been to sneak in and offer him more and a chance to play in Europe just to f*** the Fat c*** over. Shame.

..or possibly a case that his stock has fallen hence the significantly lower fee this summer. We probably lost so much on the Johnson deal with Everton, that we could not afford Diomande at that level of fee.
