Nottingham Forest vs. Crystal Palace match thread

Yeah, I'm not sure tbh. Just stating what i saw...

We used to play that way with Eze a bit more. Bang passes into his feet...short sharp interchanges centered around him. Guess we just don't have that player right now.
In his post match interview he said he wanted them to pass from side to side to stretch the play but they kept trying to pass through the middle. They did constantly pass sideways but way too slow to have any impact on Dyche’s defence.
I was shocked by how leggy we looked considering we had a week with no midweek game and were playing 10 men who had played on Thursday. Having said that Dyche used his subs. We only used Uche who certainly put himself about.

We do hes just been shipped out to Cov because Glasner has some sort of dislike towards him

When we signed brennan johnson I stated he was not up to the standard especially for 35 million, I stated explicitly if he isnt scoring tap ins or poaching goals he is effectively useless as he cant dribble or pass. However I kept getting told "he was tottenham's top scorer last season". Why would tottenham ever sell their top goal scorer last season the immediate season after to a supposedly "smaller" club if he was so good? Brennan Johnson was a waste of money just like Nketiah was. Its time we stop wasting money on players such of this ilk and go back to the bread and butter which was the spine of our better seasons. Young english championship talent. Oh and also a manager that is willing to use said talents instead of alienating them out of the squad😉

You just don't get value from this league these days

Soon as they had 10 men we had no chance OG only has score on break system and sad to say we have no idea against park the bus Because of this no chance in conference as we are suppose to be superior opposition Really ?

Yes that’s fair. I think the team are also very short on confidence which makes trusting quick passes harder. What’s for sure is we really struggle against teams that sit deep and have done all season

Nope, we were completely disorganised and especially in the second half. Players did not help each other and passing was absolutely awful. I don’t think any of our so called forward players had a plan given to them at all. Glasner screwed it up as he has done for the last couple of months even with players missing for lots of our games. It was embarrassing at times watching our players not have a clue :-(
sorry I dont have clue about passing and moving with other players that I have had weeks of training with , they dont need to be told there not under 8s there adult professional footballers , 9 year olds know about passing and moving , wasnt asking them to play a different sport , they was told to do there job .

bad passing is down to them not the coaching team they dont kick the ball , the one thing we didnt do enough is probe when having the ball . draw players out then play the ball behind them , slow and steady when playing a packed defence not the 1 in 30 pass , they should know that

Out of a woeful performance, there was a glimmer of brightness in Chadi Riad looking the real deal after such a long layoff, looked composed and confident while all around him were not! Perhaps when Cheick Doucouré gets back into the team, we might have a couple of players ready to show some attitude. Hughsie was mixed today and is not a game winner - in fact I am not sure we have one of those in the squad now. Sarr looked lost and heavens knows what Johnson is there for (notwithstanding he might not be getting clarity from the coaching staff either as all the players going forward looked like they were making it up on the spot). Post Monday, we should have more depth in the squad, Kamada back and enough quality to move up; whether we will, is probably now more dependant on whether Glasner has what it takes for the rest of the season.

As soon as they went down to 10 men, you could tell what would happen. Even with our best team we still need to rely on counter attacks and set plays because we can't unpick well-packed defences; without Wharton, Nketiah or Kamada it really wasn't going to happen. Having said that, our play was conspicuously unenterprising; I wondered if OG was more concerned with points or persuading the board he needs at least one more signing. Particularly when both wing backs played so far short of what they can be. Although not knowing what formation you are squad building for can't help.

Kamada is critical to us, have we won since he has been out injured?

Hopefully he is back next week. Glasner and the players look fed up. We need to get rhythm before the European games
He's critical in as far as having options to rotate through. There are far, far more important reasons we haven't won recently than Kamada being out. Some being:

- The total unrest caused my our manager telling the squad he's leaving.
- Our captain being sold.
- Our sole striker being in the worst form of his life (while carrying an injury)
- This same striker then coming out and saying he wants out too.
- Our manager not trusting anyone else in his squad except the starting 11.
- The absence of Sarr and Munoz - two of the most important players in our system.
- A busy schedule of games with Europe and Cups...without the squad size to service it.

Every single one of those things has been more material in our poor form than bloody Daichi Kamada being injured. Tell me something...when Henderson said today "we know what's causing the bad form" do you think he's referring to Kamada being out? No, me neither.
