2 million people attend every year. You get similar at every festival. Why are you picking this one out?

Because every year there is violence and criminality on a far higher level than most other gatherings. More importantly than that is the risk of crushing. Every year people warn that it is getting too dangerous and difficult for police and stewards to manage.

It needs to be moved to a venue where people can be safe.

I looked into the crimes at Glastonbury and they weren't really equivalent.
However, I don't have that much of a problem if Glastonbury is cancelled. It's not like it was originally. Just a money racket now.
The Notting Hill Carnival is supposed to be a celebration but has clearly been used by less desirable members of the community to cause trouble. Why aren't their own community calling it out? Why does every other tax payer have to pay for it?
Do tax payers have to pay to police Glastonbury?

Notting Hill is also a different entity to what it was when Carnival started and a lot of the newer residents aren't keen on a million revellers occupying the area for two days and nights.

I'd say a lot of the Muslim people and businesses aren't keen on such debauchery. My guess is that they're the least tolerant of it.

We like an old brass band in a band stand. A few regimental marching tunes and God Save The King at the end. Although we all preferred the Queen. I don't like it when they try modern music like Frank Sinatra, however.

I actually do like going to Battersea park in concert. I was over this weekend for the game on Friday but the weather put me off going yesterday.

55 arrests for assaults on police officers. Two officers sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment.

Yes, they need stuff to be angry about. Let's encourage that. Here you go, free festival, we all pay for it. Enjoy yourselves. We'll all inconvenience ourselves for your community entertainment - and you use it for victim hood grandstanding, anger and an undertone of turf wars. I can't imagine why people are fed up with it. It's all left nice and clean and respectable afterwards too. Just like those street VE day parties.
