The worst thing that might have happened would have been smuggling a ham or cheese sandwich or a can of coke into a vegan only festival. There was a little bit of weed in the air. Not much. Just a little.
In the political area of stalls there was The Green Party and The Socialist Party. No Labour or Lib Dem’s in Lib Dem Carshalton. There was a Learn about Islam stall.

Surely they actually DO do some active work on the streets ? On Selhurst match-day you could try walking past them with an England Flag ?

There were cars. You can buy small household kitchen bins that are as flimsy as cardboard that decompose. I can’t see it catching on seeing as people keep a bin for years.

Live music was pretty good and so was the food and beer. I couldn’t survive as a vegan. I’d have to eat fish at least. That would make me a pescatarian.

Notting Hill........To the people saying "ban the carnival"....i say "keep the carnival, make it 365 days a year, cordon it to house 2 million people, and keep everybody in there partying and having a good time. why not ?

anyhoo......Notting Hill Carnival. All went off without a hitch this year ? 500 arrests and i didnt see much stories of bloodshed.

Only a mere 423 arrests over two days. There were two stabbings, but the Met said neither led to serious injury so that's fine. With only 18 sexual offences and five robberies it's thumbs up for celebrating our cultures.
Last year only eight people were stabbed, leaving one person dead. Another person was killed in a separate attack, so nothing to see here.
