Nketiah Injured

We joke, but we all have a list in our head regarding how much we're prepared to shrug when a player is injured right?

If any proof was needed that clickbait reads this forum, its this thread. 13.13 the 1st one appeared & now 2 more have followed & this thread was started at 12.00. This, despite his injury being mentioned in the "time to start doing business Steve" thread @ 06.51 this morning. Gotta love clickbait.

Back from injury and scored his most important goal for Arsenal yesterday!

Exactly what I sent to my gooner son in law yesterday lol

He's very difficult to make out. My current thoughts are that he's decent/good in the box but outside his play is very average, although there have been a couple of runs. Maybe its just time he needs.

Nice finish at the end.

Missed an absolute sitter , header in the 6 yard box, from a greater Mateta cross.
They didn’t show it on motd. But needs to hit the target from there.
It was a great cross, and I would like to see more of Mateta and Nketiah on the field at the same time (at least for spells in games) to see if they can further that understanding/partnership.
Glasner observed that he wanted them both on the field to relieve pressure from the defence and play more in Liverpool's half.
On Nketiah I don't see him as a clinical finisher, but he takes up good postions and if we create enough chances for him he will get his share of goals.

Frankly, I don't think I'd rate Mateta as a clinical finisher either. Too often, when he gets clear, he shoots straight at the keeper rather than lobbing or weaving past.

He's always looked an awkward, gangly sort of player and he has scored some terrific goals for us, but he's missed some sitters too. His redeeming quality is his strength which he uses to great effect.

It looks like Glasner is favouring using Nketiah as a replacement 10 (as opposed to Uche) at least at present. Potentially as Nketiah knows the league and system better.

Still need to find a way to start giving JMP a bit of a break.

I feel like nketiah will cook in the conference league. Perfect against teams that play low block. Would be good to give Mateta a rest on Thursday.

Strikers and centre backs don’t need resting as they’re not running about as much as other positions.
