Next season's kit

That’s very nice - was hoping we would launch a red and blue kit..!!

Been hoping for the sash back - although not keen on this seasons version.

But this is very nice..!!
 
Went to the club shop at lunch today and all 3 kits are quite nice in person. The eagles wing shirt should be our home (and in my mind still is), the sash away, black kit 3rd.

I still hate Macron however and it's weird that all 3 shirts have a different crest.
 
This year's red and blue effort is a bit "busy" for me.

I don't mind lightning OR wings, but lightning AND wings just makes it crowded and they merge together and then it's not quite clear enough for either design to stand out on it's own, without getting right up close.

I will be ordering a Sash kit this weekend. Last season I got all three kits as they were all masterpieces.

We wore our "home" kit away to Everton. Think this may have been forced by kit clash though.

One pundit remarked that it's his "bug bare" that we don't wear our home colours to every game (home and away)... I thought that a very strange comment.

My "bug bare" would be the opposite to his... that we, and other teams, often don't wear the respective kits at their correct designations (ie sometimes wearing the home kit away from home, even when there is no clash).

It also bugs me when teams wear the next seasons' kit on the final day of the current season. A fairly modern trend.

I remember that 😂 did they scrap the result though? I know they have played in a pink kit before.

I agree with the commentator, there's no such thing as home or away kit, you have your club colours and thats it, you wear them whenever possible unless there's a clash, then as the away team you wear your alternative kit.

Celtic rangers, Everton liverpool, madrid barca etc, you'll never find them wearing their "away" shirts in a match against their biggest rival.

Until fairly recently it didn't happen. They were always called the "away" strip and that had a strict meaning to it. Now they get some new age marketing slogan title and swap between the three at whim.
 
I received my home shirt today from DHGate. I requested no name no number... I got number 9 with eddies name on the back FFS lol. I guess thats what I get for paying under £13 quid. Ordered the new 3rd kit (the red and blue) today.

sorry to be pedantic but it is bugbear - all one word.

I thought the 'rule' was to always wear the home kit and only change when there is a clash. These days it is a free for all to no doubt get people to buy even more kit - 3rd kit, training kit etc.

No, no, no. Home kit at home, away kit away from home.

"Third kit" is for when there is a clash.

Except later on down the line it came in that, "well okay, this is a big opponent, so we'll keep the home kit even though it's away".

Thats not true, there's never been a home or away kit, they were just branded as such, when clubs decided to cash in selling replica kits. Years ago it was the home team that would change to their alternative strip, out of respect for the opposition, they wouldnt have to travel carrying 2 sets of kits, this then changed. It was the same in Rugby, they only changed it a couple years ago in the 6 nations that the away team would play in their alternative kit.
