For me it's the use of the 80's badge that makes this into a darn sexy beast of a shirt.

Interesting. That's the part I dislike the most. Our new badge is much nicer and goes with a modern shirt.

Still, my grandkids will love it.

I just looked at the new kit on the official Palace site. If they are using that badge in the photo of the kit on the new kit............................................jeez. Who designed that bloody badge in the first place anyway? Is it an Eagle on the badge or a vulture? Or could it be a sparrow?

I’ve got loads of old memorabilia with the old badge from 1977/78/79 so I love it, I’ve got mugs, a mirror, scabby old towels I won’t throw out, badges, sew on patches, happy days

I’m also loving how much the new kit is niggling the youngsters!! Don’t they know we did exist before the year 2000🤣🤣

I have an irrational superstition that we used to be two bob with the white kit and sash (mid 80s) and then got great when we went from that to red and blue stripes with Coppell, Wright, Thomas, Bright, Gray etc.

So I am not a huge fan of this for the home kit. I think it would have made an excellent away kit.

I bet that didn’t take long to design, I would have thought that someone would have designed something just a little different this season, Anyway cannot say that I’m impressed with the new home shirt. First thoughts when I saw it looks like a someone has got the idea from a printer test page when renewing the colour cartridges. Oh well Lets hope the away and third kit is better.

problem is we switched back to red n blue stripes the year Mullery(spit) took over for a season so the improvement didn’t happen straight away, but I can see your point if the s*** years going into the 80’s is your only memory of it

My guess is they got the idea from our old 70’s/80’s kit 🤣
