This season we are relegated. Parish needs to manage that outcome and plan for the future. Discuss.

I do not accept that at this juncture our fate has been sealed. This season we are relegated. Parish needs to manage that outcome and plan for the future. Discuss.

To be fair, Forest were in a relegation scrap due to Ange. Dyche was picking up points and getting some results in Europe but their pampered, delicate players didn’t like the fact that he told them some home truths and had to put in some hard work and so they went and complained to Mary knickers and had him sacked.Much against my desire to have the team play exciting, attacking football, I think we just need to find a way to survive this season. The problem is that Dyche was sacked at Forest ad Everton for presiding over a relagation scenario. I really don’t like any of the names being bandied about and sadly we are not in the class of Pep etc.

Kieran McKenna stepped back from football management and is now a UEFA technical observer. To me, Kieran McKenna is a strong candidate. Has management experience in both the premiership and championship. We need someone who would be prepared to help fight for our survival, and who would also stay and rebuild if we did go down.
So we lose 1-0 instead he gets his teams score 1 goal a game on avg . You want that . Its not ideal at the moment but shut up shop and not attack . I sooner get relegated and I thought I would ever say that everIMO, Dyche is the only manager that guarantees survival, his team will be well organised, defensively based, solid, balls into the box from wide and a massive improvement on set pieces at both ends of the pitch, i am not expecting flowing football from him, just basic coaching to our strengths, give him an 18 month contract.
I think "guarantees" is a bit optimistic. he would probably make us a tad more difficult to score against, which would be a distinct improvement with form since October last year. However, at this stage i'm past the point og guessing and speculatingIMO, Dyche is the only manager that guarantees survival, his team will be well organised, defensively based, solid, balls into the box from wide and a massive improvement on set pieces at both ends of the pitch, i am not expecting flowing football from him, just basic coaching to our strengths, give him an 18 month contract.

Also I’m not sure he’s going to fancy stepping into another relegation battle with a club that’s flogged its best players. Sadly Dyche is the best fit at the moment, and I do mean sadlyKieran McKenna stepped back from football management and is now a UEFA technical observer.
He did achieve promotions with Ipswich from League One and the Championship (Twice), however in the PL his Ipswich team were relegated with 4 games remaining in the season.

I remember his Burnley team having no problems beating us by a few goals at Selhurst!!So we lose 1-0 instead he gets his teams score 1 goal a game on avg . You want that . Its not ideal at the moment but shut up shop and not attack . I sooner get relegated and I thought I would ever say that ever

Ah yes - Dycheball v Royball - 3 down by the 15 minute mark as I recall and that's how it finished. It was a case of whether or not we could get a goal in the remaining 75 minutes as there was no chance of us scoring 3.I remember his Burnley team having no problems beating us by a few goals at Selhurst!!

I have been speaking to a learned gentleman about Dyche this morning. There was a time when I think our squad would have been well suited to Dyche ball, but I'm not sure that's the case anymore. Having said that, we are in desperate need of more organisation, and he could probably bring that. I actually quite like him as a bloke, as well. He comes across as very honest, something some of our previous managers have lacked. So, in conclusion, I haven't got a clue!

Ah thanks - memory plays tricks on us all, I suppose - I just recall thinking that after not many minutes we were stuffed because there was no way we would equalize never mind win.2 down after 10, 3rd goal was in the 47th minute.
To be fair to Roy we beat them 2-0 under his first tenure when we had 29 efforts at their goal!! Townsend scored a screamer that game back in December 2018

As I think he did at Everton by saying (I believe) that he had taken the club as far as he could and hence he was soon replaced - not because Everton were in a relegation fight but because Dyche had told it as he saw it. It seems from an earlier poster that Dyche's truthfulness cost him the job at Forest - a club that meant a lot to him given his past associations with it.I have been speaking to a learned gentleman about Dyche this morning.
He informed me that one of his greatest strengths is that he will tell you the truth whether you like it or not.
I think we have a decent left winger a decent right winger, 2 tall CFs, expierece in central midfield, a good Goalkeeper, Mitchell, Mingueza and Richards, as 3 of the back 4, pick the best of the others until the transfer, if possible send Disasi, Abonhor and Guessand back, sell Sarr, get a decent CBThere was a time when I think our squad would have been well suited to Dyche ball, but I'm not sure that's the case anymore.
