Totally agree. I hate the way he conducts himself and his post match interviews are far to frequently blaming someone else (usually the officials) he’s like a sulky child.

There are much better managers out there.
It is literally every game I think, whinging and whining

His contract will be nothing like that, Chelsea's owners aren't billionaires by being stupid with money. There will be a tiered severance pay with many conditions like performance, length of service, etc, not a straight line multiplication of salary.
On the point about severance you are spot on, and I’ve said the same thing. A lot of commentators make this error (perhaps deliberately, for clicks), there are others who have clarified it.

On your reasoning, I have to say I’m pretty sure none of them are what you’d call “self-made”. A truly “self-made” billionaire is a rare find, especially these days.

They are billionaires because they started life as billionaires and haven’t managed to fritter it all away.

Yes one of the new breed of modern coach, constantly using the words ‘process’ ‘the group’ ‘structure’ and no doubt filling his players heads with data analytics, low block, high block, overloads, false nine or false 10, full press, transitions, inverted full backs and XG’s
When sometimes all they need is a bollocking and directions to where the bloody goal is, you see that white thing with the net hanging on it, it’s not rocket science 🤣
That must be why Pep has never won anything. Oh, wait 🤔

There was a termination clause in Roseniors first 12 months of a £4m pay off, not bad, but nothing like £24m.

My goodness. Parish’s ‘short list’ for manager must be upwards of 20. Many of the list would at some stage be considered suitable for Palace but we have higher standards now. If Sunderland want to get rid of Le Bris they must stark staring bonkers or else know something we don’t. Who next joins the list? Arteta when the Arse blow it again; Tuchel when England get knocked out of the World Cup by Haiti; Guardiola who wants a challenge. Maybe it’s Mourinho’s turn!
I doubt there was ever anything in the rumours around Le Bris. Firstly because of how stupid it would be, and secondly because it never came from anywhere credible.

It showed up on a few suspect sites, and the next day weirdly Sky felt the need to comment on the speculation only by saying that he wasn’t going anywhere!

Sunderland struck a real diamond there and he’s done a fantastic job for them. If they can hold onto him they’ll go on a Bournemouth-esque trajectory, at the least. If they get rid they are certifiably insane.

If they did make the mistake of jettisoning him, we could do far, far worse than picking him up.

I think there lies the problem, everyone thinks they’re Pep, but Pep has always had vast resources to make the job a lot easier
That doesn’t mean that any of those attributes you listed are not positives.

Following that logic, Southgate would’ve won more than Pep in a big job because he wasn’t bothered by silly things like tactical nous.

“Who knows? I’ve never been putting my CV out to clubs anyway. I’ve not had an agent ringing around trying to find me a job.
I’ve just been fortunate, I suppose, that one or two jobs have found me, that I felt I’m able to do – and have broken a retirement promise to my wife and come back and taken them.
I refuse really anymore to say ‘right, this was great, I shall never even contemplate being in football in another role again’. That would be a mistake because I might."

They tried in the beano and always ended up with more
(for the older reader I think)

A billion is a staggering amount. As the well known comparison has it a million seconds is 11.5 days. A billion seconds is 31.8 years.

I've just had a really horrible thought on this...

... we're going to follow our recent transfer strategy aren't we. Various options but no movement...

... new manager incoming Aug 26 (i can't watch)
This would be a disaster. Even more so than who it is, we need to have someone in place earlier than later.

How likely it is, is anyone’s guess, but I do hope your premonition isn’t a pertinent one.

There was a suggestion on TalkSPORT over recent days that an announcement on Ollie’s successor might be made before the Conference League final- if we get there.

Mmm……I’m not sure of the thought process or wisdom behind that (as I reckon it might be an unwelcome distraction) so hope it’s just media BS.

Very risky choice and extremely unlikely, but there's a part of me that can see Javier Alonso becoming first team head coach...

... you wouldn't need to change the youth team playing style to match the first team player requirements and the last 18 months has been as good as its ever been across all levels...

... he can also chivvy Yeremy along. There's a player in there!
