There was a suggestion on TalkSPORT over recent days that an announcement on Ollie’s successor might be made before the Conference League final- if we get there.

Mmm……I’m not sure of the thought process or wisdom behind that (as I reckon it might be an unwelcome distraction) so hope it’s just media BS.
Does that sound like something we’d do? No chance, media BS

We’ll still be waiting for an announcement at the end of July 🤣

It's not utterly impossible that it might yet be Glasner? I think his stock has fallen since the 'toys out of the pram' after the Sunderland match. Depends whether he's had better offers than what he's doing at the moment. I don't see him going to a big team that expects to dominate possession and I doubt he'd manage elsewhere in the Premiership. Stranger things have happened. How would people react to his signing another contract. Not saying he will, just that it's not impossible.

a 1 year extension would possibly suit both parties ( if 1 or neither dont get the position / manager theyd hoped for)
who knows, its Palace.

Over to you Lanzo 🤣
It would be inconceivable to offer this lying, self-centered, petulant, tactical black hole anything, other than a large boot up the posterior, we achieved last season because of the squad, this season has been pathetic, even struggling to beat no hopers in the conference league, it will be very poor if we don't win the Conference league, not a fantastic achievement, all done in spite of Glasner not because of him.

But other than that, I quite like him 🤣

But aren't, lying, self-centered, petulant, tactical black hole true?
Joking aside, I felt exactly the same as you, his rant at Sunderland was so self preserving it stank, making sure the whole world and any future ‘bigger’ club possible employees knew our form and results wasn’t his fault, and I thought Parish should’ve sacked his arse on the journey home.
But once the dust had settled, it is hard to dislike him too much, whatever we might think of him now, we had our best ever times with him at the helm and at least he seems to have knuckled down and got on with the job now, which is what he should’ve done in the first place without the rant

When we brought Glasner in he had been out of work since the end of the preceding season, and was happy to remain that way until the following summer when he was originally due to arrive with us. In other words, he was willing to be out of work and wait to see what came up. Even if he doesn't have any options he likes right now, I imagine he will just chill out for a bit and wait. It's never long before managerial vacancies come up.

I'm sure most managers would prefer to go in during the summer and have the preseason, but Glasner showed that he could arrive midseason and have an impact with us. In may ways that makes him more attractive to clubs I should think. Some club or other will be in 'crisis/meltdown' because they have lost a few games. Their manager will be under pressure. The fans will grumble. Social media will exacerbate it. The owners will panic. Meanwhile, Glasner will be out there, free of obligations, available to start immediately without costing any compensation.

It might even increase his chances of getting something good.
