Newcastle Predictions

It was a 5 -0 battering last season when we were whole and pretty good

We are now depleted and knackered and I fear the worst.

Any improvement on last season I'd take.
If I remember we had some injuries and suspensions when that game happened. Although if Eze had not missed they penalty who knows what might have happened

Newcastle paid a lot of money for that new guy up front - Woltenmade (excuse the spelling if its wrong)

Tall , Peter Crouch type - watched him in the U21 world cup, whilst of course he can score if he gets openings, but from what I saw spent lots of time complaining looking for free kicks / penalties.

Our timing in tackles, especially in the box had better be spot on today.

I don’t see us keeping them out.
A combination of Gordon, Barnes, Elanga, Murphy, Trippier, and Hall continually raiding down the sides- particularly down our right where we will be without Richards, Munoz and Sarr.
We don’t have the pace, energy and strength to counteract this with e.g Clyne, Devenny and Canvot .
I see a 3-1 victory for them followed by a defeat against an in form Villa, who we will face without our usual stars against them Sarr, Eze and Munoz.
I would have been more confident for both games if we had full strength teams available.

Not for me.
The best deliverer of the ball from the right back position in the country.
Has had injury problems this season, but rumoured to be playing today.
His delivery is usually right 'On the money' and he possesses a creditable record of providing assists.
He was a midfielder in the Man C academy and they converted him into a right-back.
