I was surprised i couldn't find a thread on this. Amongst all the political stuff on HOL, here is a great example of human endeavour.
The lift off was quite impressive. Considering the cost of fuel in the UK, I was wondering how expensive a big tank of Hydrogen and a smaller oxygen tank would cost to fill ?
196,000 gallons of liquid oxygen and 537,000 gallons of liquid hydrogen.
And the crew should be doing close to a million miles on that. that works out about 0.74 MPG
That is better MPG than my Vauxhall Corsa. 🙂
Currently orbiting the earth, deciding whether to go for an orbit of the moon.
What happens now? They will remain in orbit for 24 hours as the crew carries out checks - if all goes well it will get the green light to head around the Moon
