MOTD

If nobody's watching, as it seems most of us aren't, does it really matter who presents it?

Just let the BBC feel all fuzzy and warm with their woke choice. Whoever they choose I wouldn't mind betting the viewing figures will collapse and they'll pull the plug in a relatively short time.

It’s needed to go the same way as Top of the Pops for years and take eastenders with it 😀

I'm not exactly an avid viewer but I have a mate who'll literally go home from the pub to watch it. It's kind of nice to have something like that in this day and age.

I used to watch Basil Brush and The Generation Game on a Saturday evening…..not sure I’d want to now though 😀

I can remember when it was David Coleman on Match of the Day BBC at 10pm on a Saturday night and The Big Match ITV with Brian Moore and Jimmy Hill on Sunday at 2pm. And that was it for coverage.
Both programmes showed one game extended highlights and two games of short highlights. If Palace was ever on, it was a real treat.
Those were the days.

Yes, but you could still read all about it on Ceefax.....

Jimmy Hill replaced Coleman on MoTD followed by Des Lynam before Lineker. Commentators Kenneth Wolstenholme, Barry Davis, and John Motson (still the best). Those were the days for sure.
