Michael Olise

I’ve been watching our boy Olise since he moved on. He scored a fantastic goal last week and 2 more in the 9-2 demolition this week. It seems like they think he’s a superstar in Germany and they aren’t wrong.
Bayern Munich have hit gold and I think he is going to be one of the top players in Europe by the end of this season. Plus it’s nice to hear him referred to as ex-palace. Gets our name mentioned.

Yep, I've been keeping an eye on his progress too. Not sure whether it's healthy, but there's something fascinating about an ex Palace player doing well. Good luck to the lad although it pains me to say so.

Think we are missing him a lot this season, top player.
Few players when they come to pitch make a huge difference, Olise is one of them.

There is something fundamentally likeable about him. Even the interview gaffs ("shot. scored.") show a real honesty and vulnerability. Contrast that with the countless PR trained but thick players and ex players who moralize, pontificate and whinge on places like Sky and MOTD.

I hope he does really well and who knows, maybe one day we might see him again in a Palace shirt: stranger things have happened.

The brilliance of Olise is a testament to our recruitment policies. I assume Dougie ? somebody did an amazing job getting Olise from Reading. Cos 19 other Prem clubs will rue the day they decided not to employ him.

The other top teams doesn't matter they have the cash to buy.

We messed up big time he went way to cheap he is someone we could have been getting 100m for and he went for only 50m shocking really how poor we are when it comes to this sort of thing and contracts. (Reading got a nice % out of it 20% I believe)

Disagree completely. We were only able to get him as we were willing to offer these terms, release clauses etc. He's a player, that rightly backs his ability, hence was only willing to sign on these terms. As its shown he has thus far made some great career choices. Obviously in an ideal world we'd have signed him on a 5yr contract without a release fee, but in reality this was never an option.

As a top,top player I was gutted to see him go and see him going all the way to the top.

Hi guys, Bayern fan here; just want to thank you for this incredible player; personally i think he is better than Musiala and has BDO potential; when you watch him play game looks so easy; anyway, wish you success in current season
Enjoy. A fantastic player with that rare combination of being incredibly entertaining to watch but also has the end product to match. If he stays fit he's gonna have incredible numbers this season.

The best thing about Olise was that he was consistently involved all through a game, much as Eze can be brilliant, I’m afraid I can’t say the same about him.
You always felt like something was going to happen when Olise got the ball

Definitely missed by us, we just don’t seem to have that same energy without him

You’re welcome, and we’ve got a great player called Kamada you might like to take off us in January as well 😀

Michael will be a true superstar and was purchased by Bayern on the cheap whatever his release clause was it was not enough.
I rarely follow ex palace players but am watching his stats and showing just what a talent he is really developing into.

Good luck in your career it is really destined to go to the top.

He hasn’t played more than 70 mins for Bayern which is a masterly stroke by Company. Olise is looking off the scale. Worth watching the highlights of Bayerns last game.

I’m the same, but I’ve found myself searching bayerns highlights out now because of him.
The only other player I’ve enjoyed watching AFTER his palace career was Ian Wright, I still enjoyed watching him bang the goals in for Arsenal

If we hadn’t agreed to the release clause he may well have gone for nothing as he would not have signed the contract. The release clause was only for CL clubs. He had agreed to stay at Palace until Bayern stepped in and offered to double his wages.
It may have slipped your notice that we don’t have the money of some clubs which results in our hands being somewhat tied in contract negotiations. If you want your club to have the upper hand in contract negotiations I suggest you support United or Chelsea.

In today's football pages of The Times they've included a photo of 4 Bayern players, including Olise and Kane, all dressed in regional clothes and holding steins of frothing beer.

In typical pose, Olise is the only one not smiling. Definitely one of a kind.
