Mark Dennis was very overweight when he came to Palace.

He was still our best defender by a mile.

It was one of most abiding memories. I’d never seen him move so fast!
He was a very decent player and became a favourite quickly.
He should have been an extra in The Sweeney - he did look like an armed robber!!

I agree, I liked him, good player if slightly deranged 🤣 can you imagine him around now? The era when players get sent off for touching another players pony tail
 
Earlier today, with all this chat about him, I was drawn to Michael's Palace highlights reel on YouTube. Blimey, it's a great watch if you've got a few minutes. We were blessed to have him in the red and blue alongside Eze too. Quite something.

As one of the commentators says "quality with a capital Q".

Watched Olise boss the game last night at Parc des Princes. How I wish he was still with us. It’s kinda an injustice that a club like Palace is destined to always be a feeder club to the Champion’s League clubs. The game really needs a serious revision to be more like NFL with salary caps and first picks etc. It was a glorious atmosphere last night, hope we can do something similar in the upcoming conference league games.

I can imagine Reading fans feel the same.
 
It's quite common for clubs our size to be able to name an impressive XI from their best current players and the best ones who have been sold. Nobody gets to keep the crown jewels.
