What is it with our board? We are so close to top level success, yet we won't spend. Why?
Perhaps we don't want to fall foul of Uefa's stringent financial rules now that we're in Europe. Both Chelsea and Villa have received multimillion euro fines for doing so and face even bigger ones if they don't get their house in order.

No, no, you can set up a blind trust and get around all this malarkey…

Well, obviously Chelsea, Villa and and several top European clubs didn't do that to have suffered the heavy fines and transfer restrictions.

For my benefit how does a blind get round these regulations? A blind trust is fine if you're talking about multiclub ownership but how does it work with squad costs and football revenue?
