- no deportations, unvetted illegal immigration to continue unabated....and an eventual Civil Unrest as per all the other times in History ? Andalucia 800 AD, Rome 472 , Christian-Lebanon 1975,

A successful multiCultural society ? its surely a slow-grown phenomenon ? a melting pot ? Growing slowly over a hundred years. New York, Liverpool, Dubai ?

Not just a lifetime on benefits (in the UK). Also access to the free NHS and other services that most of the population have paid into for many decades. And probably adding to the crime statistics.

There will be a lot of noise, and undoubtedly some token arrests, but they will surely be followed by legal action which will clog up the Courts if large numbers are involved. Where will they be housed in the meantime? You have only to look at the UK to see how slowly things can move.

How many does it need to become "mass"? 100? Nowhere near enough. 1000? Still not close. 10,000 is still only a small proportion and increasingly unlikely to be achievable. 100,000 would do it, but can anyone seriously think that is likely?

As with so many things context matters. Refusing entry and turning people back, maybe on multiple occasions, is not the same as trying to remove those now living hundreds of miles away who have been in the country for years.

So why haven’t they legally sorted their immigrant status to permanent. These are the easy targets but they put them on their own backs. They will have no legal rights.

I don’t approve of illegal immigration anywhere. I am simply pointing out that seeking to deport large numbers is easy to promise, but much harder to deliver.

I do approve of giving sanctuary to those fleeing war and oppression. As required by UN conventions. Offering asylum is a duty, not an option.

Establishing entitlement can be a lengthy, resource heavy, task.
