Mass Deportations to begin.

So why haven’t they legally sorted their immigrant status to permanent. These are the easy targets but they put them on their own backs. They will have no legal rights.
You like the law and this is the law.
Unless it’s due to your TDS causing you to not like what’s coming.
How do you know they haven’t? Or have legitimate reasons for hesitation? A good lawyer will find the way. Everyone has legal rights.

As I have said many times the only ones deranged about Trump are those who think he is some kind of messiah.

If you haven’t heard it listen to this:-

11 million haven't.

Who’s crying?

Not me!

I don’t approve of illegal immigration anywhere. I am simply pointing out that seeking to deport large numbers is easy to promise, but much harder to deliver.

I do approve of giving sanctuary to those fleeing war and oppression. As required by UN conventions. Offering asylum is a duty, not an option.

Establishing entitlement can be a lengthy, resource heavy, task.
So take the easy option and let them stay is what you are inferring i reckon !

I am not saying anything of the sort.

I am saying that the “mass deportation” promise/threat is window dressing to satisfy Trump’s base and that it will likely be tied up in knots by legal delays.

Which will then be blamed on the communists, aka The Democrats.

If they decide to abandon respect for UN treaties and start removing people with reasonable claims to asylum then it will generate poor PR all over the world.

11 million haven't.

The fact that anyone is an undocumented migrant doesn’t mean they are necessarily illegal. Some will have legitimate asylum claims pending. Others could successfully make one, and would on arrest.

I found it difficult to open the link but when I found the article it said that the number has decreased. Let’s not forget the millions of children born in the USA who are automatically citizens, one or both of whose parents are undocumented. The statement has been made that they can stay, but the parent(s) must go, thus trampling over the policy of not breaking up families. The alternative being that the children can leave too, along with any citizen parent.

Chucking out US citizens from their own country will go down well!

There are 11 million of them. ICE can sort out the ones they need to concentrate on.

Its starts by not allowing people in. Illegal immigrants jailed straightaway with immediate deportation where possible. Asylum claims are still considered if people present themselves with valid travel documents i.e passports. Again, immediately being locked up until claims are heard. If not, then they are literally locked up forever. Camps established on islands off the northern most points of Scotland.

Next step, an ID card system. For decades I objected to it but one of the main reasons the UK has become a favored destination is because its easier to 'hide' in our society. An ID card system would stop that. Introduce it on the back of a pledge to hold a referendum in 10 years to see if people want to retain it.

Also introduce full life sentences for a much wider range of offences, including people who aid & abett illegal migration.

Also a MASSIVE cut back on welfare benefits for non-UK nationals to start with, and then extend that with heritage qualifications as the years go on.

I suspect millions would leave voluntarily. I am not against financial incentives either but those would come with strict conditions such as submitting to DNA submission to ensure if you are caught back here, then its life in prison. Not even offered a chance of going back. You want to stay here so much, lets grant that but on our terms.

And also create a kind of Home Guard immigration service. Set up groups in every post-code who will actively seek out illegals.

Trump to act true to his word while our illegals, are welcomed by Starmer, with open arms and put up in 3 star ÷ hotels and potentially,a lifetime on benefits??

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. At each election the Tories said they were going to cut immigration and failed. Trump is known to say one thing and do something else entirely. Coal jobs, shouted very loudly got a load of people exercised but did literally nothing.

So, if you are getting excited from afar I suspect just like most of his policy expect to be disappointed. Expect big companies and the wealthy elites to be the big winners, while we all become poorer fighting for a smaller piece of the pie globally. Yay!!!! MAGA, MEGA next. Fantastic! Woo!

It’s literally all just a big stage show while he sits in Florida creaming money watching Fox News, then makes batty foreign policy decisions and gifts signed copies of Rocket Man to his best mate Kim, because he’s a fan boy that wished he had that much control himself.

You’ve totally been taken in 😂😂😂.

Mass deportations 😂😂😂😂😂 well all get to see the planes.

These states will be inundated with illegals leaving states that allow deportation of illegals.

California police are forbidden by statute to asssit federal authorities deporeting anyone including criminals such as gang members, they have lost their minds

No doubt, but enough to justify the “mass” epithet?

There will quickly be blowback if it does. This extract from a BBC article explains why:-

“Mass deportations could lead to a labour shortage in construction - complicating his pledge to build more houses - and in the agricultural sector, which could further increase the price of food. And it is billionaires, not the working class, who look set to benefit from the biggest tax cuts.”

The key word being "could". Any industry which depends on illegal workers needs to sort itself out.

It should, but it won’t. It would increase the price of food significantly and that won’t be tolerated by the people Trump relies on. So he is already promising things that are contradictory. You cannot reduce the number of immigrants and cut the cost of living at the same time.

Well looking at over here it’s about a
4 billion a year saving. That works for me !

I have no idea where that figure comes from but measuring the overall economic impact of any policy is incredibly difficult and will always be disputed.

Not so with raising food prices. People are wedded to cheap food. Politicians who increase the prices will not remain popular for long.

The French don't seem too worried about it or they'd try to retain more of these price cutters.
