Mass Deportations to begin.

Not when 1 in 10 work in it.

It’s an interesting analysis but it doesn’t explain what’s happening.

Did you read it? That 1 in 10 have not declared some of their income, most of it very small, often being only temporary in nature while being a student or unemployed, is hardly surprising. Many would not have even thought they needed to declare it. I didn’t when I was a paperboy, or later when I supplemented my starter income with bar work.

Whilst I agree that the massive number of illegal immigrants over here is getting out of hand, I do not think a total mass deportation is totally the right way to go about it either, especially when it comes to the children.

I have some Hispanic kids in my class who I am quite sure have some illegals in their family, and it is just hard to think about their whole family being ripped away from them due to them not being born here.

Tough call to make either way but taking into account all the mental and emotional turmoil all this could put on the children affected by it, should be at the forefront of the thinking.
See this is where the Democrats failed miserably. They went to bat for every immigrant instead of saying do you know what maybe Trump has a point, let's get shot of the gangbangers, nonces, murderers, gun runners & other ne'er do wells & those that who've come in & are working in construction, farming, warehouses, hospitality etc & have kept their noses clean lets find away to give them some sort of amnesty by paying a fine & paying some back taxes.
That with an E- verification system where everyone who enters the USA is traceable.

It doesn't explain it but the nature of the black economy means a lot of people are hidden within it. Explain it how you like but the fact is it's happening - it's just the scale which is in question.

That’s not how it appeared to me from here. The Democrats opposed illegal immigration but had more compassion for those driven to it than the Republicans under Trump. They too wanted to improve the legal routes alongside closing down the illegal.

They won't allow ICE to do their jobs that's why you have Sanctuary Cities & it's fueled by left leaning District Attorney's who let these villains back onto the streets & I'm not talking about people getting caught for misdemeanors, but people who are being charged for serious assault, rape, armed robbery & the rest. You only have to look at the arrests being made today in Boston & Chicago to see they are the worse of the worse. These aren't people who are working in restaurants peeling potatoes or scraping carrots they are the exact same immigrants the Democrats stand up for

Won't be a popular answer, but remember what came to light during the Grenfell disaster?

There were quite a number of people found to be living there who were not the registered tenants.
Yes, and anyone who dared mention this was branded a heartless racist etc, also some the units had been divided and were being illegally rented out to such people and of course the council never bothered to check or take action even though it was common knowledge and goes on today in other council blocks all over London.

I remember reading, but may be wrong, the guy who bought in the defective fridge which started tghe fire was not a registered occupier.

Is that true, or is it merely apocryphal?

I can understand people showing sympathy and compassion towards those fleeing danger for themselves and their families. I cannot though see that being extended to those who break the law. The law applies to all. So providing assistance to law enforcement, who may have more information than they do, would seem a natural act. Nobody tolerates criminals.

Cops beaten in Times Sq attack by Venezuelan Gang Bangers Tren De Aruga last year released on bail back into the community, MULTIPLE recidivists daily on the Subway for various serious crimes released on bail & allowed back out into the community. That is down to Democrat laws & their left leaning DA's.

Do you seriously think any law abiding Democrat would knowingly protect a violent criminal?

This is simply political mud slinging.

Fake passports and fake documentation to obtain National insurance numbers.
When I lived abroad obtaining fake documents could be done. There was a cottage industry providing it. But here? With all the biometrics and holograms that are employed today? Very difficult to fake them.

I am no expert on this and fully recognise that devious and determined people exist to serve needs, but it feels improbable.

If it is happening then we need to address how NI numbers are issued, stop doing it online and only do it at Job Centres where any fake documents can be identified by trained staff.

Sanctuary cities do exactly that. That's the point.
No they are places where local government has chosen to show compassion towards those fleeing oppression and have decided not to cooperate with Federal officers. As is their right.

They are not intended to protect criminals. So should those Federal officials have evidence of criminality I doubt whether there will be any obstacles put in their way.

Those who believe the idea that Democrat administrations are protecting criminals perhaps ought to read this, from today’s BBC pages:-

“As the Trump administration appears poised to conduct immigration raids in dozens of cities, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker said he's afraid some immigration authorities "will not follow the law".

Speaking to Dana Bash on CNN's State of the Union on Sunday, Pritzker - a Democrat who is seen as a possible 2028 presidential contender - said he supported efforts to remove violent criminals from his state, and from the country.

“Let me start by being clear that when we’re talking about violent criminals who’ve been convicted and who are undocumented, we don’t want them in our state. We want them out of the country. We hope they do get deported, and if that’s who they’re picking up, we’re all for it,” he said.

But, Pritzker added, he found it "disturbing" that officials have indicated they would be targeting "law-abiding" residents as well, those "who are holding down jobs, who have families here, who may have been here for a decade or two decades, and they’re often our neighbors and our friends".

“Why are we going after them?” he said. “These are not people who are causing problems in our country, and what we need is a path to citizenship for them.””
