Mass Deportations to begin.

If true, which I have no information on, then this screams to me for the need for everyone to have to have an identity card. One that is impossible to fake, be full of the latest technology and only available at recognised, government approved centres.

Getting many of those currently living on benefits back into the labour market has long been a bone of contention for me. Most can do something, so they should. I have had tenants quite happy to have their rent paid for them, enough provided for heat, cooking and water and accepting charity for clothes, furniture and food. Then they sit playing video games all day on a huge TV, surrounded by their mates and cans of beer. All, by the way, as British born as me!
Well ID cards were suggested but the liberals shouted about freedoms etc. pretty ironic now as you can go down for hurty words.

It’s not the “liberals” screaming about freedoms!

It’s the right.

Sensible, law abiding, people don’t fear such things as identity cards. They may ask for assurances about what use any data is put to but so long as it legitimately keeps the country safe they won’t object.

We absolutely should have ID cards. Nothing to hide, nothing to fear!

We should also ensure that we maintain Voter ID at all times in the future, for both Local & General elections.

It's not true the govt likes to claim lots of fraud yet when you look at official stats it is very low % (they also have inflated the figures themselves with over paying or poorly advising people and then coming back later to make out they was the ones doing fraud)

They make the same claims to do with people claiming benefits for sickness as if they are leaches. (pensioners as well now as well)

It's all about misdirecting people away from the real issues which is the govt the very same people who flushed billions. (Remember these people would rather spend billions on contracts with companies to try make out people claiming sickness/disability benefits are all fakes when the courts over turn over 70% of cases so more cost there as well)

People forget who the largest claimants are for benefits pensioners and then working people who get extra bumps.

A lot of people believe the media when it comes to stories as if people on benefits are living it large when they are not. (People should try it they will soon see)

The rates are not fit for purpose.

If only there was jobs this is the problem and people need the skill set as well (labor jobs are mostly self employed so not guarantee work)

What I would like to see is the people who do come into this country and end up going through the system to see if they can stay put into some sort of work rather then just be told they have to stay in hotel etc.

You have to be tough to do what Trump is doing with deportation. Real tough. Like Trump.
We've got wet flannel Starmer. Little man with many complexes.
Makes a wet flannel appear like a sheet of steel alongside him.

So the asylum issue goes out of the window, arrive and you can work and stay. Can't agree with this.

We cannot afford to add net takers to the economy. Unskilled economic migrants will be net takers, that's the reality.

Who said stay permanent no one.

So you would rather people come in and for 6-12 months just sitting in hotel rooms etc because that is what happens while they are being processed.

These people could contribute.

If they are declined its no lose current system is all out goings no in.

How do you know they are unskilled you are just stereotyping you cant judge all by one person situation such an uneducated view point the sort of garbage the media pushes.

I think if they were skilled they would stay where they are from and work!
It’s mainly about money and skilled workers can earn in whatever country they live.

I saw this in the nationals a few days ago but a quick google brought this page up.

Here we go 9bn fraud how many nurses would that pay for.

I asked a lady how long she spent in The University of Lagos for her degree, "three years or four?" I asked. "No," she replied "200 dollars and the price of the ink".

The sick migrants to the UK will be treated for free by the NHS, which currently has loads of spare capacity and funds. This will stop nursing redundancies.
The criminal migrants will keep our over-staffed police force busy enough, so there won't be redundancies from that public sector, either.
And the indigenous people complaining on the internet, will be jailed, thus keeping lawyers, judges and prison staff gainfully employed.
Trump has it all wrong 😀

Two media outlets which have 0 creditably and are about headlines not true data to feel the average joe

Most fraud in this country is from taxes and govt themselves.

Unfortunately a lot of the stats are made up numbers something the govt likes to do all to well covid prime example.

Even if we had that money it wouldn't go to nurses anyways it would be wasted maybe be sent to other countries in the form of aid.

Some acknowledgement in the Media (sorry, BBC) about the harmful effects these small boat crossings are: to people and the economy of the UK.
Phrases like "No 5hit, Sherlock" and "shutting the gate after the horse has bolted"
come to mind.

"For far too long, employers have been able to take on and exploit illegal migrants and too many people have been able to arrive and work illegally with no enforcement action ever taken," she said.

"Not only does this create a dangerous draw for people to risk their lives by crossing the Channel in a small boat, but it results in the abuse of vulnerable people, the immigration system and our economy." (BBC website)

You are joking. This is not the Mail and the Express this is the government admitting this. You might think 9Bn is so what but I suspect others will disagree. It doesn't mean there isn't other types of fraud but you cannot dismiss this.

Labour have been highlighting the so called crackdown on illegals but my understanding is that these numbers are broadly in line with the previous government, in other words nothing to crow about.

How many of these people will be deported or will they get asylum under the slavery legislation. How many of these business have been closed down with immediate effect and the owners arrested ?

I think those are the numbers that most of us would be interested in. Company owners need to be jailed that will then send a message to the rest that they risk everything if they choose to flout the law.
