Mateta is on £50,000 a week which is £40,000 a week less than both Nketiah and Edouard. Holding is on £45,000. Of course these are incredible amounts but it's not telling Mateta he's valued as much as he is.

Yes, hopefully. At these levels it's not really about the money but getting nearly half as much as other players who can only replace you in extraordinary circumstances must be galling. Of course he signed a contract at those wages but the situation has changed and he should be rewarded accordingly.

Mateta has been offered a new contract he has not agreed to sign it yet.

His current deal end same time Eze does 2027.

Not sure who is giving you those wages but they are not correct a large % off the time and do not mention what the extras are it's not only about the base wage (A lot of sites just take one source of these details and spread it as if its facts when its not)

Nketiah came from another Premier League club and had a transfer fee of 30m of course he would not be on same money Mateta 11m, you are comparing contracts which was signed when they transferred.

Guehi by the way Sky are making it sound Palace are the issue one minute they are claiming Palace are trying to ask for high amount which Liverpool wont pay then the next is because of this and interest now from abroad Guehi has decided to wait it out.

Both are terrible news he has to go you can't give up getting even if its only 25m for a player like this that is madness (People who are saying rather keep him until contract ends why he really does not contribute that much over the whole team on the pitch plus Palace then needs to go find that money to buy replacement)

Let me guess you was one of those people who when we had Wilf made out we couldn't do anything without him look how its turned out.

It's a team sport not a 1 man sport and the role Guehi plays isn't one like for example a goalscorer so we cant cope without him (look at when he was injured we had no problems)

We would need a replacement number wise we are short but playing 3 at the back you don't need the best talent just ones that can work together and cover areas that others are weak in.

We can live without him , he can be replaced, we will sooner or later have to do both. But to say , he hasn’t contributed much is well off the truth.

Very possible, but letting him go for peanuts makes no sense to me.
 
I would do a straight swap for Harvey Elliot who fits our age profile and has undoubted ability.

Just need to find some dough then to buy a couple of centre half’s (or get one in and one loan) and get someone like Vardy on loan to cover the attack until we find out what is happening with Nketiah.
