Marc Guéhi

Media puts it as if trading MG would evidently have been the optimal choice financially. But the more I think about it, I am really not so sure if this is the case. Replacing him would clearly have decreased the squad's strength and self believe (at least in the short term), which would imply a decrease of market value of everyone of them.

I agree as we could bring Canvot (if the next replacement) gradually into the side

In time Guehi might think we’ve done him a favour.
Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are all linked with him ( why wouldn’t they be on a free?) and who’s to say they won’t be joined by Manchester City if they look defensively wobbly this season.
Potentially that competition between the world’s biggest clubs will drive up the packages available to him significantly.

In fact there is an argument that, in the summer, Guehi should pay Palace a commission for driving up the value of the packages available to him!

God has a plan, i said it before he is a devout Christian and all will be fine, ignore the click bait.
Of course he would have been disappointed, upset, angry even but after reflection and prayer he will see the bigger picture such as the one you shared above
Bring on a tough but winnable on our day game against Sunderland
