Marc Guéhi

They definitely have a buy back clause ie if we agree a sale they have a right to match it. The press claim there is also a sell on clause of 20% this is not normal if there is a buy back clause. I suspect a deal will be done with Liverpool with players coming in opposite direction. The players talked about are effectively homegrown so more or less pure profit for PSR purposes. This means values can be artificially increased same as Forest Newcastle last season.
It is a bit of a strange situation as they know we have to replace they are selling one centre back and have another in last year of contract. Logic says if they wanted Guehi they would have tried to use one of them as part of deal

But Palace would have never accepted a £32m valuation of Quansah which was perfect for Liverpool as pure profit for PSR and made the deal with Wirtz easier with going in the other direction from Leverkusen for £116m

(Though for those interested in UEFA's take on such matters apparently will not accept this profit for their different FFP rules - we are a long way from jumpers for goalposts)

We may well have depending on cash additions as well. As you say it sweetened pill on Wirtz's price. If we got Quansah (who is probably 25 million) for 32 plus 35 for Guehi I think we would

Marc Guehi to Liverpool transfer takes next step as Crystal Palace reach total agreement

Crystal Palace are poised to lose Marc Guehi to Liverpool this summer but have acted fast to find a replacement with a deal struck for Sporting Lisbon's Ousmane Diomande

It is a real shame that Marc is so set on Liverpool as Newcastle are still in desperate need of a centre-back and are likely to offer a better deal as they are struggling to sign anyone. He would be guaranteed first team football there, including Champions League. The van Dijk/Konate partnership might be tough to break up, especially if the latter extends his contract
Although having said that, Henderson was not a regular at Ajax but got picked and Tuchel seems to prefer Konsa as well as having a thing for current Chelsea players

What happens when he has gone isn't really or business nor should it be .I dont care if Liverpool players get picked for England or not . For us its all about the money that comes into the club and the profit we make on the player that will basically mean we have had him for nothing in the time he has been with us
