Akanji is proven in PL. Surprised city would let him go as been best defenderIf Memory serves me correctly(a big if) Meyer was on that type of wages for doing nought.
Agree. Especially in goal keeping and centre half positions where easier to play for longer at top levelI don't see why we need to be rigid with signing youngsters. What we need is depth and quality and if the rumours are true, Akanji offers both.
At 30, we'd get at least 3 good seasons out of him and £15m is a low transfer fee. Depending on salary, could be an excellent signing for us. Yes from me.
I've never watched one. I bet Jordon Mutch looked great in one.The obligatory highlights reel

I've just looked them up. You're likely correct.I bet he didn't
You can't make a highlights reel of someone that crap!I've just looked them up. You're likely correct.
Honestly, the Premier League website even has Mutch highlights videos. I'm as surprised as anyone. You can't make a highlights reel of someone that crap!
I genuinely expect a loan at most. I doubt that frankly, unless he can be somehow coerced.People need to remember this guy is 30 so no resale value and would show we are not learning from past mistakes.
Expect this is why City want him gone they need fresh blood.
Not saying this player is bad but really we should not be going for players that are 30+ unless it's a loan or free.
We need a blend of young and old.People need to remember this guy is 30 so no resale value and would show we are not learning from past mistakes.

30 isn’t old these days. He could easily play for 4 seasons more at a very good level. £15m not unreasonable and he is a very good player with lots of top class experience. Exactly the sort of player I think we’d need if Guehi left. If Guehi stays it would give us another athletic, good passing centre half.People need to remember this guy is 30 so no resale value and would show we are not learning from past mistakes.

I’m not sure there’d be Mutch to put in the videoI've never watched one. I bet Jordon Mutch looked great in one.
It’d show that the club is. The club has had a habit for multiple seasons of picking up 5, 6 + undeveloped players, of which maybe two break through into the squad, usually not instantly.People need to remember this guy is 30 so no resale value and would show we are not learning from past mistakes.
