Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace match thread

A reporter needs to ask Glasner what he thinks Kamada brings to the team. Although I have enjoyed OG's interviews for their frankness and honest appraisal, I'd be curious to hear what he has to say.

Wont happen most of its scripted questions now and lets say he did glaz is always positive.

I said before when we was linked to signing Kamada I don't see what people are hyped about and when you look at him plus his numbers as well in 2 leagues that are slow paced not impressive.

He is on fairly high wages as well and was a free transfer but fairly big signing on fee.

I was going to let him of a bit this season and hope he comes good next season but can't he is not offering anything his whole game is terrible at 28 something about him should be solid but it's not.

Look at his Japan record as well it's nothing special.

Maybe a loan to Championship is what he needs but the club wont do that.

SOuthampton
Brentford
Everton
Leicester
wolves

Do I need to go on
The point was we were one of the best teams for not dropping points. I didn’t say we don’t .
You are wrong about Southampton in both games they took the lead. Also wrong about Leicester, we never led them at home. Won 2-0 away.

The hate on Kamada is so over the top.

Was broadly ok. Showed some nice touches in tight positions, great overlapping run and should have had an assist.

Impacted the game more than Wharton, Mitchell, Hughes, Lacroix, JPM
He certainly impacted the game but not in a positive way. The guy is extremely average. I thought Mitchell was poor today as well. His crossing was awful. Not sure who is too blame for the 4th goal out of him or Lerma but certainly one of them is.

Who Would be stupid enough to take him on Total waste of space and offers nothing To all on here who criticise us for lambasting Kamada please can you inform us of why glasner or you believe he’s worth the shirt

We should be focused on cup only anyway now not the league but i can see glaz doing what he has all season keep playing same people and come cup time they are burnt out.

Had this been city strong players we would have lost this by double digit numbers
What does that mean, play a reserve side? Or just put Kamada on the pitch, which he did, and get a tonking
We were 2-0 and close to getting a third. You would have expected a team that had given up 1 away goal in 7(?) games to see the game out. Then we would definitely be in with a chance of Europe

At least Glasner takes responsibility for the change and admits that it didn't work - which many managers wouldn't admit to.

We didn't carry any threat at all in the second half and in some ways it was a strange decision for a usually bold manager.

With regard to Kamada, there may be occasions where he is fine in a 2 man central midfield, but the evidence suggests that these would be rare.
He looks more suited to a 3 man midfield with somebody sitting behind him in a holding role.
As we don't play that way, I can only see him as a squad player.

No s*** Sherlock .

City away, with their worst season, they will still finish 3rd, are still one of the best teams/squads in the world.

Forget and move on to the next one.

Like it or not, we are quite correctly prioritizing the FA Cup. We are two games from winning that.

Europe can wait.
You do realize that winning the FA Cup means Europe, right? All your talk about a weak squad is amplified if we were in the Europa where we would have to play a strong team to compete - unlike the Conference

The Europa League is worth being in. We could sign players that might be attracted to us because we are in it.
The Conference is a waste of resources.

All this hatred of certain players is beyond a joke now.
We lost today because the players weren’t good enough and on OG own admission he got it wrong today.
Fair play to OG holding his hands.Let’s move on and start another run.
I’m not sure for most of us, that it’s hating a player. It’s about seeing a player that makes our team weaker when we can see stronger players not starting. Most if not all today’s 11 underperformed for a large part of the match. One player was worse than the rest and has been whenever he has played this season - guess who I’m pointing a finger at here ;-)

Put this match in the rearview mirror. With Guehi and Hughes – and hopefully no Kamada – back where they belong, we'll be fine.

I worry, however, about what the players think of Glasner's continued support of Kamada. Daichi been helping somewhat on offense recently, but today's gaffe will sting because it typified his mistakes throughout the season. His foul was so ugly, so pointless, and perhaps so decisive that his teammates may lose patience with him permanently. It could even undermine Glasner's authority if Kamada keeps getting playing time.
This a good point. I haven't watched the game but some people suggest Mateta was having a go at him. His obsession with him is totally irrational and either his assistants or Guehi needs to have a word with Glasner

Looks like most commenters agree with you
