Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace match thread

So you think OG is inept at team selection? Look do I think Kamada has been any good today. No absolutely not. Do I think his selection is the only reason we have lost heavily? No I don’t, I think the all round defensive display has been poor. Kamada’s performance is a reason we’ve lost but by no means the only reason. It’s not like we’ve lost 1-0 with his mistake being the difference. We’ve been comprehensively outplayed all over the pitch for 60 minutes of this match. That is a team wide issue
I’m gonna jump in and say yes. I think OGs insistence on finding a place for Kamada is terrible. Do I think he is a great coach and manager, absolutely. Do I think he is wrong over Kamada, 100% yes.

If we don’t give that free kick away and get to half time, we win this game.

Either a real reality check or we really have got our minds on the semi final. Newcastle, Bournemouth and Arsenal could go the same way.

It it's a reality check then it might not be a bad thing. Beating Bournemouth would be a boost then play a weakened 11 at Arsenal. I would normally object but we need to prioritise winning our first ever major trophy. Hopefully, it won't be Citeh in the final!
Hmm, today might just give them a bit of a complacent attitude if we did get them.

Relax everyone.

We don't want the Conference League. It's not a money spinner and it will put huge pressure on our squad.
We will cruise to the semi Final, resting players where possible because we are safe in the League.

It's the sensible, albeit boring thing to do.

You can't be serious.

Nothing wrong with Conference Eu competition and if you win it you get a spot in Europa.

We have not won a trophy so any will do and to win any type of eu one would be a big thing.

None of them are great for money outside champions league

How do we go from being all over them and 2 up in the first 30 minutes -then by end of next 30 minutes play be trailing 4-2 ? Were they just pretending to be poor to wind us up
Later ? Really hard to understand !

I agree with you on consistently selecting Kamada. I disagree we were going to win automatically without that free kick. We’ve been terrible in the second half and could have conceded even more. It’s just like the game a couple of seasons ago when we were 2-0 up at the break and lost

You aren't realistic.
We don't have a strong enough squad.

I'd rather give it everything to win the FA Cup.

You are comparing different timelines after negative effects have happened.

You don think that throwing away 2 goals has an influence even the 1 goal clearly did.

I think the Eze offside goal was the turning point. Their crowd was restless and some even booing. I think had that counted, their heads would have gone down and we would have gone on to win comfortably.

The next pivotal moment was the foul on De Bruyne and the resulting free kick........enough said let's move on.
