No Mateta, Sarr or Munoz

Football is a simple game. City look shakey at the back, overload the wide areas and put balls into the box for JSL to attack, you never know! COYP

I'll hazard a guess that we won't be putting many crosses in. Since we never do, we may as well play our quickest and smallest. I'd play Guessand, Nketiah and Pino - get them to press like crazy and tell them they'll get subbed on 55. They could interchange as it would make little difference who was in the middle.

On paper that is really a pretty uninspiring line up isn’t it? Other than Wharton that’s really lacking creative quality and that back line doesn’t look great.

I agree with this. If we are going to play Larsen we need to put crosses in. If we aren’t going to get it wide and cross then play a more mobile front line
 
We are vulnerable in the air at set pieces at the best of times, and will be without Mateta, Sarr, Munoz and Lacroix who at least compete aerially in our own penalty area .
Disasi ( if he plays) and Henderson will need to have stormers to avoid conceding from corners/set pieces.

Henderson needs to come for crosses. No punching either. Noticed he's good at reflex saves but doesn't dominate the area well enough. We all have weaknesses. Even Henderson. Even me.
 
Could Sage follow Lanzo's tactical advice, be more flexible, stffen the midfield with the addition of Hughes and play two up top with Larsen and Nketiah ?

People don't tend to get creative until they don't have a choice anymore. We are getting really close to Pierre not having many options and needing to be creative.

I always like a bit of Plato in football discussions, or failing that some Socrates.
 
I think the game will tell us a bit more about Sage, his starting 11, changes he makes, good luck to him, COYP.

I can promise you he reads all of our tactical discussions. He dm'd me about my ideas and asked if I wanted to browse online profiles of Asian women. There was a link to some limited kit options.
