I am just hoping that one or more of our players can stick the ball in the net if not I can see a loss for us. If we can get a goal or two then a draw is a good bet. So I am going a 1 -1 or 2- 2 draw.

We may as well get used to life without him anyway. With Man City I wouldn't mind us picking three quicker forwards and pressing their back line when they're on the ball. Maybe Guessand, Nketiah, Pino - sounds rubbish but they're all quite quick and combative.

Personally wouldn't welcome him back myself anyway. More hassle than he is worth

We've had a pretty disrupted week with Munoz, Sarr, JP etc. And now sounds like JP is out with an injury.
I'd leave Munoz out too and hope that it galvinises the players who do want to be with us.

A couple of seasons ago at Selhurst, Citeh had one shot on goal and scored twice, courtesy of a Ward own goal. I'd settle for their having one shot on goal this evening. 0-3

No idea, but it seems obvious to say that how they perform will give us an indication of progress made and what to expect as the season pans out. Could be we see things starting to fall into place and a competent team emerge, or a clueless shambles. We shall see.

I don't expect them to be on their A game. I expect them to be relatively vulnerable. It's us I find harder to gauge: still crap, slightly better or much improved? A much improved us would have every chance of getting something.
We need to get closer together and on the edge of our box in defence and, obviously, be far better in front of goal.

Wouldn't call him a muppet at Chelsea, he won two trophies and was doing well again in his last season until he walked and both his replacements tanked the team.
