I've seen incidents before when standard 0-3 results are awarded for all games. That would be unfair potentially on teams whom Citeh have already played (not least us) so it might be the entire season's games would be deemed 0-3 to the opposition.

Would any demotion happen immediately? The whole situation is somewhat of a mess and this is totally new terriory so who knows.

In some lower levels of non league if a club goes under then all it's results are expunged. Same thing as universal 0-3 results I suppose.

Imagine if City are expelled or demoted mid season. What would they all do all day? Just hang around until the next season starts?

Mind boggling.

All the players would have to go out on loan to stay fit. Or they could swap places with a random Championship club each week.
 
The example of the Scottish League with Rangers, when they were found guilty of cheating, demotion to the lowest league. Man City in League 2 from next season, it would help the lower league clubs with increased gates when they play City.
 
This will create an unholy mess, starting now. What happens to their remaining games? If a team loses to City will they expect eventually to be awarded the points anyway? Do we get ours back? If City start losing matches will clubs they have already beaten like Palace claim it’s unfair as City are now distracted? The timing of this announcement is a joke. The FA will be seen as incredibly weak by the rest of Europe that this has gone on for so long.

That's not what happened with Rangers. They cooked the books to avoid tax, then got caught out, then got a big tax bill.

Then they went bust, and started again from scratch as a new company in the highest level of football that would accept them. The tax bill was part of the reason they went bust, but their financial conduct wasn't anything to do with their apparent 'demotion'.

Not that I'm against city getting demoted!
 
There is talk of Premier League clubs going after Citeh for money lost due to their cheating. One report says Leicester City are after a billion pounds for missing out on the Champions League. In theory we could have finished above them for the last fifteen or so years so at say £2m a place that’s £30m!

Yes, I think this is the biggest part of how f***ed City are. Not only will the premier league and the FA do for them, but the other big clubs will pursue compensation. Every tit who finished second all those years will want their pound of flesh.

When Everton got done for far lesser breaches, they got fined and points deducted, but then also had to give Burnley £35m or something, in compensation.

City are properly f***ed.
