They may have held their coke stuffed noses for sureHopefully. But my thinking was that they tactically voted to ensure labour got in.

Firstly I never drink from a bottle dogs and cats often cock a leg on empties and Camra members rarely stray on to bottles, beer engines are preferred ( you would say rightly handpumps) I've been to a beer festival today but not yesterday when I posted.I genuinely believe that Labour are starting to turn a corner, Burnham will hurt the South as you say but he has a gift, only time will tell, we have already seen the right's tendency to disintegrate so easily and show themselves up on aimless marches reminiscent of the Grand old Duke of York in pursuit of nothing.Bit early to have hit the bottle isn’t it?

I'm happy with Sir Keir , trouble is he doesn't trumpet everything he does from the top of the castle walls telling everyone how good you are is sadly part 'n parcel of modern times but if I have failed to mention it i'm happy with him as a person and a P.M. Everyone mentions the 100 m.p.s who want him to go so what about the other 300+ The silent majority might gather around his flag.Haven't there been any posts on what a stellar job Sir Keir has been doing?

And when you think, when the Tories were changing leaders ( I didn’t agree with that either) Labour were up in arms about new PM not having a mandate, Rayner being one of the most vocalThe likely result of this puts a different spin on democracy. In the General Election of 2024 Labour laid out their manifesto and with Keir Starmer as their leader were voted in to government by 9,700,000 people
Now it seems that Andy Burnham will be taking over as PM with a promise to change things without reference to the previous mandate on the back of the 25,000 North Westerners who voted for him.
I don't like Starmer and wish him gone but not like this as it's plain wrong

labour can do what the f*** they want as the huge amount of idiots who voted them in gave them a huge majority to do it. Rishi warned us BTW.And when you think, when the Tories were changing leaders ( I didn’t agree with that either) Labour were up in arms about new PM not having a mandate, Rayner being one of the most vocal
Yup same with Liz Truss. If you are going to change PM and the new one has a different vision this should be endorsed by the public. The likely result of this puts a different spin on democracy.
