Makerfield by election

It's not party politics I'm talking about. Would apply to Tories or anyone else that has lost control of their own party and the faith of the electorate. There's no point in having checks and balances if they're never used. This is quite literally the least popular government ever, deservedly so.
I see, I would not necessarily agree that this is the least popular government ever as we have had a few basket cases recently, but sadly the point remains we have fixed term parliaments and turkeys don't vote for Christmas!

Governments are always unpopular about as interesting as windows have glass in them *Yawn*
68% is crazy. You think it's ok that 2/3rds of people actively disapprove, just because you like them. It's a rubbish government, to put it lightly. Absolutely useless and pointless government. You're almost unique in liking them. You must think they are actually Labour, sticking it to the Tories. Crazy stuff.

Hopes for tonight is obviously a Restore win but suspect it will not happen.

Other than that, a narrow win for Burnham (just for the Labour Party LOLZ as it goes to war with itself and still manages to f*** everything up) with the margin between Reform and Restore as small as possible but the combined vote meaning that Burnham would have lost.

Then hopefully Farage throwing a hissy fit and Restore step up as the only true party of the Right, effectively merging Reform voters into it whilst ditching the Reform higer echolons.

Can't help but think Reform has joined the cost consensus of party politics and is allowing Burnham to win, frankly. Maybe a strategy but I suspect a deal of sorts.

Well, yes, all governments are unpopular mid term, I stick with Palace through thick and thin as well as my political party.

Mhmmm. Not sure. Is Farage an effective Establishment shill? Then yes. But I suspect that self-same Establishment clearly want Starmer to remain in place. Because this churn of PM's, especially in light of this as the 10th anniversary of Brexit, is not a good look for the UK.

Burnham wins and Labour goes into meltdown. Everybody seems to think Burnham is a shoe in but the man has skeletons in his cupboard. And those will be given an airing.

If anything, I suspect any kind of Establishment types WANTS Reform to win. Keeps Starmer in power and whilst Reform get all the publicity, its still only got less than a handful of MP's.

If there is a deal then it is with the likes of the Greens and Lib Dems effectively standing aside in this one.

I would never vote tribally , I vote for the Political party that represents my views and aspirations the best at the time of the election .

The result was as predicted. Burnham wins by a large margin, Reform some way behind in second and Restore clearly rejected.
I predict that Restore will never win a seat. Lowe was elected under the Reform banner. He won’t get re - elected under his own party. Reform will secure more votes than him.All they are doing is attracting the more extreme elements of the right and taking them away from Reform. In some seats that will prove decisive.

Very pleased to see that the the appalling Lib Dems polled just 163.
