Well the club can’t say they were not warned. He made this point very clearly last season. Even allowing for the mess that Europe has turned out to be, I find it hard to see why they have found it so easy to piss OG off in this way when so clearly pre-warned. And obviously having a clear list of players he would want. He has this season to decide whether Palace are the club for him, is this the way to convince him?

Still pre-season. Last year we looked great in pre season but started poorly. You can never quite tell from these games
We never looked as it was anything other than a friendly, Mainz on the other hand were right up to speed ,pressing, closing down, man to man, they dominated.
They looked as if it was important to win the game, we went through the motions, poor passing, getting caught on the ball, etc.
Probably good for us , as preparation like that rams the message home.
