Main Stand redevelopment thread

Completely different design and fit out. Fulham has a different roof structure (not a truss roof), different number of tiers, no changing rooms, built with ground floor public access throughout the week, built on side of a river, has a rooftop pool and it's fit out is also of a far higher grade spec than ours and most, if not all, others in the country.
Yes it was built with the community in mind

I was in there when we beat them in the Fa cup quarter finals. What a stand that is.
The one opposite looks no better than the Arthur.
The outside of that old stand is beautiful and it's a listed building. Inside the views are similar to the Arthur with stanchions but it is much generally better maintained.

I thought when the first 2 yanks came in that £50m was ring fenced for the stadium? Certainly remember seeing that on the press release. Crystal Palace: Deal agreed with US investors Harris and Blitzer

They did and I remember SP saying the ground had to be improved to hit regulations.

A list of works which had been done from SP own mouth.

Floodlights (around 5m)
New Gantry
They had to improve some of the wheelchair etc access.
Seating was replaced
Electronic boards
Roof cleaning/repairs
Multi pitch replacements

All the planning etc costs as well.

Maybe you should read the conversation I was having then instead of just my comment. We were talking about the impact on the Whitehorse stand once 8 rows of seats are removed and a new massive Main Stand is then looming over it.
I think it would make sense to fill in the corners first (especially between the AW and Holmesdale) and build an extra tier above the Whitehorse Lane Stand. Those 600 extra seats in the corner would be an ideal area for a singing section and with perhaps reduced admission prices to keep the younger supporters happy.
