It will also prevent the current gantry (which has grown out of all proportion compared to the original version) from blocking sight lines in the AW.

It will be odd to see Selhurst on telly with the AW in the background and the Holmesdale on the right of the pitch for the first time, but there are good reasons for it.

Yeah, best place for it to go. But if I’d paid £200m for a new stand, I’d want it to be seen on the tele all the time

Not sure I understand your comment. The 'small' Main 5,000 capacity stand is being demolished leaving the 10,000 seat Arthur Wait facing the 13,000 capacity New Main stand. That is far more balanced and in any case the TV gantry will no longer be in the Arthur, but moved to new main stand facing the existing stands. COYP

Maybe you should read the conversation I was having then instead of just my comment. We were talking about the impact on the Whitehorse stand once 8 rows of seats are removed and a new massive Main Stand is then looming over it.
