Pictures and build schedule are all here on the club website: https://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/announc...ium-training-ground-improvements-this-summer/So two of the affordable houses have now gone. There is a bare patch of land where they were. No signs of much else. I will be amazed if there is any movement this year. Looks like our board have little to no plans to invest in anything of any great significance.
Or on the Athletic by Matt Woosnam (needs a subscription to view I think?) but explains the schedules of works and some of the barriers to delay excluding covid: The changes Crystal Palace fans will spy at Selhurst Park as redevelopment begins
"No signs of much else" - All six house were demolished giving a clear line of sight. The main stand has been partly demolished and covered up with the offices moving to the Old Crystals and hospitality moved to the newly built 1861 suite which literally takes up half the car park. The new away changing rooms in the Holmesdale are now in operation in the previously flooded area. I believe that the fanzine has or wlll move to Park road side of The Holmesdale. Sorry I'm in the Whitehorse and couldn't be arsed to walk round 😄
Above ground building work on the new stand is scheduled for September 2026 - so the initial phases of ground works for the new stand structure, commence shortly. The stand will take shape during 2027 although will not be fully completed until 2029. The club project an extra £20million revenue per season.
They've done loads of work imho, but it is following five scheduled phases of work due to regulations and funding.
If you can read the article in the Athletic, you'll read that the club are now fully committed to this build - both financially and with the authorities and us fans should actually see the ground works commencing next month.
