Main Stand redevelopment thread

Take it the weather been great down there no rain or snow mmmm trying to start work in Jan feb is always risky ,
we are not building a house or breaking new ground its upgrading a old stand so delays happen , and I wouldn't be surprised if we missed finishing date , its part and parcel of building trade , money borrowed wasn't for transfers its for the ground only
It's been raining and snowing for the last few years?

Simon Jordan said on talksport about 2 years ago, there's absolutely no chance of the new stand being built, he was absolutely certain as he knows about issues no one else is privy to, he wouldnt discuss what the issues were. Most people said he was full of s***, its starting to look he was telling the truth to me.

I doubt it.

I've heard from a reliable source that work will be starting soon but can't tell you who from as I'm making it up or am I mmmm ,

can tell you that there a couple of builders I know are are trying to get on the project as builders , they worked on spurs ground and knew all the issue there which wasn't being said in the papers which caused long delays

There would have to be an access route for vehicles to get materials in and out after the demolition of houses. It would have to sit alongside access for fans.

Could that be done while games are being played? If not, then nothing serious will happen until June. I guess we will find out soon enough.

They could at least demolish the Wooderson Close houses. The longer they stay there boarded up, the more chance there is of squatters gaining access. It would genuinely take no more than 3 full days for those properties to be knocked down and Grab Hire lorries to remove the rubble.
