Lyon away - Europa league

I think Pino is undroppable (is that a word?) at the moment. Really hitting his stride now. He's the type of player in the type of form you have to let loose on Lyon.
Surprised Sarr didn't play more of a role against Forest but he's a gret weapon to have on the bench
Since his arrival at Palace, Ive never seen Sarr perform as an impact sub. He seems to find it hard to jump into the tempo of the game. As a starter, it's a very different story. But like you i will be very happy to see Pinot in the line up. Him and Larsen seem to be building some sort of understanding.

Our priority is Europe this year for possible/improbable Champions League qualification. The league will take care of itself. We only need 8 more wins from 32 games.
I would play the same players as Sunday except change the back 3 and start Desasi, Honest and Tom if fit. Lerma is not in the Europe squad so can only play weekends, him along with the other second string players can replace whoever needs a rest. Use that same formula for all the games until we get a midweek break.

Well Tom isn’t fit for a start so would play Desasi, Canvot and Richards for his experience if nothing else. May be a bit much for Honest. Broadly agree with the rest although got a suspicion Sarr might start. Going forward can see much more rotation. No point having 2 teams and only playing one. Still, injuries and fatigue will probably force that anyway.

And the people? Ive got a lake in the Dordogne and have always found them rabidly anti-English. And they refuse to speak our language 😡!
Until you speak to them in French and then they often want to show you how good their English is, albeit with such a strong French accent that you'd find the broadest Glaswegian accent easier to understand.

Surely the whole point of playing a match is to score and win the the game…so if you think we should bring Sarr on if we need a goal, why not start him? )
I dont have any data to hand, but it does seem that Sarr's skills are not so useful if he is facing a team defending a lead
